• Weidmüller Klippon® Connect plan, install and operate more efficiently
  • Fast Delivery Service for ready-to-install terminal strips
  • Innovative software for the selection, configuration and ordering of assembly rail components as well as complete assembled terminal strips

Engineering processes must become even faster, more precise and more economical. This requires appropriate tools that optimally support the complex planning process, such as the intelligent and user-friendly Weidmüller Configurator (WMC). The powerful software solution speeds up the selection, configuration and ordering of terminal rail components from the Weidmüller range. The tool supports the integrated engineering workflow, right from planning with ECAD systems through to documentation. Simple operation, clear design and integration into the respective engineering system makes the configuration of terminal rails simple, safe and convenient. The product data can be fully integrated into all common engineering tools, such as ePlan P8 or Zuken E3. 3D views facilitate dimensioning, wiring and marking in panel building. The software is intuitive to operate due to a self-explanatory interface and drag-and-drop functionality. In addition, the Weidmüller Configurator includes a database of best-practice solutions for standardised projects. If required, the customer will receive an individual quote for the Fast Delivery Service via the integrated "Button" in the software. After accepting the quote, the customer will receive the individually assembled, ready-to-install terminal strip in just four working days plus one day delivery within Germany. The software is available as a free download: www.weidmueller.de/configurator

Fast Delivery Service for ready-to-install terminal blocks

Today’s panel building is a project-based business – with everything that goes with it: orders on demand, tight deadlines and last-minute design changes are the rule. In order to ensure punctual and error-free deliveries, despite increased complexity, the customer must be able to rely on partners who are capable of fulfilling the requirements in short time frames. In addition, small batches may not be rejected as uneconomical. The requirement profile was for Weidmüller a decisive reason to establish and provide the "Fast Delivery Service" for assembled terminal strips. The innovative service has several advantages: the customer gets rid of high fixed costs for production capacity which is kept free, a constant provision of storage space and the purchase of individual components. This new feature of the Weidmüller Configurator (WMC) fully guarantees the supply of individual and ready-to-install terminal strips in just five working days. After completing the usual intuitive configuration with an ECAD system and the WMC, the customer makes the request and receives an automated quotation, including all item numbers, within a few minutes.

From the time the order is placed, Weidmüller completes the component selection in four days based on the WMC data submitted. Subsequently and as a rule, the dispatch takes place within a one-day delivery time in Germany. After just five working days, the customer has his ready-to-install terminal strip in his hands. So that smaller projects as well as individual requirements can be handled economically, orders involving single quantities are possible via the "Fast Delivery Service".
