In our new Electric Vehicle Business Line (EVBL) we develop and manufacture battery systems from 48V up to High Voltage for automotive and industrial applications. Valmet Automotive covers the full range from contract manufacturing to a TIER1 system supplier.

Your challenge

We are looking for a Senior ICT Specialist to join our growing team which is responsible for the development, expanding and maintenance of Valmet Automotive’s business and ICT systems for our sites in Finland and Germany. Your primary assignment will be to support expanding battery production including support functions with new customer and also Valmet Automotive Group wide ICT development projects. We would like to see you also as a part of process to create a group-wide ICT team covering all present and future sites and processes.
You will be supporting processes from many different ICT areas as infrastructure, operations, system administration, application development etc. and exact job role can be adjusted based on applicant’s experience in area ICT.  The wide expertise and knowledge of this extensive ICT world of course considered beneficial. You will work closely with other team members from ICT in Germany, Finland and Poland incl. Process Owners and Key Users from other departments.

Work will involve project work in system and process development projects, involving both internal and external customers, but also supporting existing processes as 2nd or 3rd level support. You will have also a position between the functions and the external service providers. Responsibilities and tasks include for example development, management, process development, system administration, supporting end- both key users and problem solving.

We expect you to have/are

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge in operation systems administration, scripting, VMware, LDAP/ADS, HTTP/FTP, Nagios, databases, interfaces, storages, networking, monitoring automation troubleshooting is required
  • Former experience in automotive technologies, processes and manufacturing projects, as well as industry related IT guidelines is an asset
  • Fluent English and German (B2 level)
