The CS 032 enclosure heater with fan delivers high performance and efficiency in a compact design, making it easy to install even in confined spaces. It is available as a Basic version with fixed heating power or as a Plus version with intelligent variable output control.

Electrical systems, particularly those housed in enclosures, often face harsh environmental conditions. This is especially true in power supply systems, renewable energy applications such as wind turbines, infrastructure projects, and mechanical engineering. These enclosures are frequently exposed to significant temperature fluctuations and high humidity levels, leading to the risk of condensation buildup.

Condensation can cause short circuits, which at best result in system shutdowns but, in the worst case, can damage or destroy electrical and electronic components. A proven solution to prevent this is the use of enclosure heaters.

With the CS 032 enclosure heater, STEGO Elektrotechnik introduces two compact models – CS 032 Basic and CS 032 Plus – both featuring integrated fans that combine efficiency and performance with flexible placement and easy installation.

With dimensions of 66 mm (width), 96 mm (height), and 120 mm (depth), these heaters fit even in densely packed enclosures. Designed for operating temperatures from -45°C to 70°C (-49°F to 158°F) and relative humidity levels of up to 90%, they offer a wide range of application possibilities. The units are available for 220-240 V AC and 110-120 V AC power supplies, ensuring compatibility across various electrical systems.

CS 032 Basic: Compact with Three Heating Power Options

The Basic version is available in three models with fixed heating capacities of 600, 800, and 1,000 W. It can be easily integrated into an existing control system.

The CS 032 Basic enclosure heater offers flexible mounting options, allowing the warm airflow to be directed either sideways or vertically. Like the Plus version, it features an integrated automatic temperature monitor, which activates overheating protection in the unlikely event of a fan failure.

CS 032 Plus: More Flexibility with Enhanced Efficiency

The Plus version features variable heating output ranging from 600 to 1,200 W and intelligent control for optimized heating operation. The desired temperature can be continuously adjusted using a control dial.

In cases of significant temperature drops (e.g., in extremely cold environments), the quick heating function activates, operating at maximum heating power and fan speed. When only minor deviations from the target temperature occur, the heater switches to an energy-saving mode with reduced output, adjusting over time. This optimizes energy consumption, reducing power usage by up to 23%.

The CS 032 Plus also offers greater flexibility in installation — it can even be mounted upside down. Another key benefit is the simplified inventory and preparation process, as only one unit is needed for various performance requirements.

Easy Installation and Safe Operation

Space inside an enclosure is often limited, making installation challenging. To simplify this, the CS 032 comes with both a clip-mounting kit for 35 mm DIN rails and a screw-mounting option.

The push-in terminal allows for quick and tool-free electrical connection, reducing installation time by up to two-thirds while ensuring a stable and secure connection — even during transport of pre-configured enclosures.

When working inside an enclosure, safety is a top priority, particularly protection against accidental contact. The touch-safe plastic housing of the CS 032 enclosure heater ensures that it remains at a safe temperature, preventing any risk of injury during maintenance.
