As predicted by the airborne Mobile Magneto Telluric (MMT) survey data, drill hole ST25-02 – also the first diamond drill hole of the current season – intersected an approximately 47 metre thick horizon of sediment-hosted copper mineralization at depths between 284m-319m and 368m-380m. The geologists had specifically targeted the Allen Bay host horizon within the Central Graben. The style of mineralization and stratigraphic position of ST25-02 is visually very similar to the mineralization observed at the margins of the Cyclone deposit. Based on the similarities, geologists suspect that the new discovery may be a down-dip continuation of the mineralization already found at the Cyclone target.
