The manufacturing industry is becoming smarter, more digital, and more automated – a development that is aptly summed up by this year’s FABTECH motto: “The Future of Manufacturing is Here.” The spirit of innovation in this guiding principle is also reflected in the dynamic atmosphere live on site in Chicago – where the industry is coming together on a larger scale than ever before from September 8 to 11, 2025.
Increased interest in innovative solutions
Marc Decker (Director of Sales Northern Europe, USA & Canada at DREHER Automation) is not only there, but also actively involved. From Hall D, Booth D40844, the FABTECH-experienced expert reports strong visitor numbers, a flourishing exchange of ideas, and promising contacts.
The event got off to a flying start, according to Decker. He is not only the contact person at the DREHER Automation stand, but also actively shapes the agenda as a speaker on stage. His presentation on “Laser vs. press blanking” met with great interest among visitors. “The response showed how important it is not only to present technical developments, but also to focus on their practical applicability,” emphasizes the expert.
New trade fair benchmark and great potential
This year’s FABTECH is the largest event in its history to date. “The exhibition space has grown significantly – a completely different level compared to the last FABTECH in Chicago,” says Decker, who is impressed as international sales manager. The open-minded audience with visitors from the US, Canada, and Mexico creates a lively atmosphere and opens up a wide range of new business opportunities.
“We enjoy lively exchanges, can network effectively, and both pass on and absorb lots of ideas. Our visitors to the booth include long-standing contacts as well as new potential customers with interesting topics,” says Deckers, summing up his satisfaction. Many leads have already made appointments for the coming weeks.
Thematic focus: Productive ease
In addition to automation and adaptive manufacturing, the focus is primarily on digitalization: “Many visitors are interested in solutions that can be flexibly integrated into existing structures and create real added value in everyday life.”
For the final stretch of FABTECH, the DREHER Automation team expects further intensive discussions and concrete project initiations. “We are looking forward to two more days full of insightful impressions and direct dialogue with customers from all over the world. FABTECH is an ideal platform to showcase our expertise internationally,” says Decker.
