Opel has today announced its exciting line-up for the upcoming Auto Zürich 2025. The brand with the Blitz will present three Swiss public premieres at the country’s largest and most important motor show from October 29 to November 2. The motto is: ‘Sportier, more visionary and more emotional!’ For example, the high-performance Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo concept car merges the digital with the real world and represents the epitome of ‘Grand Sport Electric’. In addition, the Opel Mokka GSE demonstrates the next level of GSE and brings rallying technology onto the road. And with the Opel Frontera GRAVEL the Rüsselsheim-based brand is also displaying a show car for adventurers.
Furthermore, visitors will be able to take a look at many other models at Opel’s booth A01 in Hall 2 on the public days starting October 30 – first and foremost the new Opel Grandland Electric AWD (All-Wheel Drive). The fact that the brand’s first all-electric all-wheel-drive vehicle promises driving pleasure combined with safety and grip, especially in winter, will be shown by Opel and its Suisse brand ambassador and snowboard freestyler Nic Huber at the MEDIA STAGE in Hall 6 on the morning of October 29.
"More emotional and electrifying than ever – these are our Opel innovations and studies at this year’s Auto Zürich. While the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo shows the electric vision of the future of our GSE label, the new Mokka GSE as the fastest all-electric production Opel is available to order and the all-wheel-drive Grandland Electric AWD is already at dealerships. We are looking forward to being able to present many more highlights during the trade fair," said Opel Switzerland Managing Director Tobias Dilsch.
In addition to the public presence at the Opel booth in Hall 2, the brand with the Blitz will host the ‘Opel GSE Vision Night’ on the evening of October 30 in Ringier’s Blick Café in the exhibition hall. There, Florian Theis, Chief Designer of the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo, will share additional insights into the three pulse-accelerating letters ‘GSE’.
Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo: Pure performance in the real and digital world
The future of the high-performance label GSE is represented by the latest concept from Rüsselsheim. With a system output of 588 kW (800 hp), 800 Newton meters of torque, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.0 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h, the sensational Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo stands for pure electric performance and at the same time underlines Opel’s commitment to the important small car segment. It is the brand’s first phygital concept car and merges the digital and real worlds. Visitors of Auto Zürich can take a close look at the physical model – and everybody can already experience it virtually in Gran Turismo 7, one of the world’s leading racing simulators.
OMG! GSE and WOW power: New Opel Mokka GSE and Mokka WOW
Elsewhere, the new Opel Mokka GSE – which can already be ordered – will deliver additional OMG! GSE moments. It brings the motorsport feeling of the new Mokka GSE Rally into everyday automotive life. With 207 kW (281 hp), the newcomer is just as powerful as its rally counterpart. And with the immediate torque of 345 Newton meters, it accelerates just as uncompromisingly completing the dash from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds – and with a top speed of 200 km/h, it is the fastest all-electric production Opel. The sophisticated technology, which was also inspired by the rally car, contributes to the exceptional performance.
But the Mokka power on display in Zurich does not end there. In addition to the fastest production electric car, a special edition Opel Mokka WOW will also be present. With metallic paintwork, Tech Pack Pro GS and other technology and comfort extras at a preferential price, it makes a design statement for customers as well as on the road.
Opel Grandland Electric AWD: First all-electric Blitz model with all-wheel drive
The new Grandland Electric AWD (All Wheel Drive), which Opel is presenting in Zurich, is the brand’s first electric all-wheel-drive vehicle. It shows how maximum comfort and everyday utility can be combined with powerful, locally emissions-free driving pleasure. This is ensured by a system output of 239 kW (325 hp) and a maximum torque of 509 Newton metres. In addition to the four driving modes ‘Normal’, ‘Eco’, ‘Sport’ and ‘4WD’, the suspension with Frequency Selective Damping technology further always enhances the situationally adapted and safe driving pleasure. Depending on the situation, road conditions and driving style, the technology enables different damping characteristics for comfortable gliding as well as for a sporty, ambitious driving style with more direct road contact. In the Ultimate trim the Grandland Electric AWD can cover up to 489 kilometres (WLTP2) between charging stops; other trims with a range of up to 501 kilometres will follow.
Adventure beckons: With the Opel Frontera GRAVEL show car
The Opel Frontera GRAVEL show car is a rugged interpretation of the family-friendly Frontera SUV: Its body design with characteristic paintwork and foiling awakens the desire for discovery and adventure. The matt black roof and the matt black bonnet of the show car contrast with the special ‘Desert Stone’ foiling. Additional orange accents are provided by the exterior mirror housings, front and rear bumpers, the rear spoiler and the Opel Blitz in the black Opel Vizor. The rugged look is further enhanced by a front-mounted winch and hook, side storage boxes at the rear, and a robust lattice-style roof rack designed to maximise gear-carrying capacity for all adventures. And in keeping with the tougher challenges of rough gravel and stone surfaces, the Frontera GRAVEL comes with special, 7×16-inch CWE wheels from BORBET.
Opel will be also demonstrating the flexibility of the Frontera by display it with a stylish roof tent. A practical seven-seater version of the family-friendly SUV will also be on site.
From A(stra) to Z(afira): Lots to see at Auto Zürich 2025
In addition, there is plenty more to experience from the Opel world at Auto Zürich. Further to the latest new additions and concept vehicles, the brand will be presenting its portfolio from A for Astra Sports Tourer to Z for Zafira Electric at the Opel booth. Of course, the bestselling Opel Corsa small car will also play an important part with two electrified variants on show. Last but not least, the Opel Combo, which is as practical as it is efficient, rounds off the range on site.
Auto Zürich 2025 starts on Wednesday, October 29 with the MEDIADAY. The public can view the numerous automotive innovations on October 30 and 31 from 10:00 CET to 21:00 CET and on November 1 and 2 from 10:00 CET to 19:00 CET.
