At drinktec, the KHS Group will be exhibiting its extensive product portfolio of progressive technologies and smart services. The focus will be on new developments for all container segments. KHS is also presenting its range of digital services and training courses for line optimization.

KHS’ holistic line expertise will be the key focus of the company’s drinktec booth this year, says KHS CSO Tobias Wetzel: “KHS stands for progressive technologies and services that can be combined to create smart turnkey systems tailored to our customers’ individual requirements. They generate considerable added value when it comes to line efficiency, resource consumption and the machine footprint.”

As the world’s leading trade show for the beverage industry, drinktec is the most important exhibition of the year for KHS. “This is where we’ll be presenting our customers with all new and further developments from KHS in an appropriate setting. With plenty of passion, heart and expertise, our employees have achieved really great things in the past few months,” Wetzel states.

Focus on holistic services: total reliability

KHS’ holistic line concept is particularly evident in the digital solutions and services it provides. As part of its line management program, the expert for filling and packaging systems will be exhibiting both established and further developed software solutions, among them Innoline Basic Line Monitoring, Innoline Flex Control and KHS ConnectApp Guide. Its line connectivity services include cloud links and secure network architecture for real-time data access and protected OT systems, for instance. By way of supplement to the above, at drinktec KHS will also be highlighting its new line coaching portfolio for the first time ever. It teaches customers practical knowledge that they can use to specifically improve line performance, supported by a broad spectrum of digital solutions.

What’s more, the Dortmund systems supplier will be introducing its replacement program, taking cold glue stations for all standard KHS labelers as an example. Its spare parts service with items produced on 3D printers rounds off the trade show for KHS.

Focus on PET: sustainable and space-saving

The new InnoPET FreshSafe QuadBlock from KHS marks a significant milestone in the company’s history. For the very first time, it combines KHS stretch blow molding, coating, filling and labeling technologies to form a turnkey system. The new development not only simplifies machine operation; it also saves valuable space thanks to its small footprint.

In addition to its holistic line concept, protection of the climate and environment form a major pillar of the company’s strategy. One prime example of this is the new 0.25-liter lightweight PET bottle from KHS. Weighing in at just 6.2 grams for still water, it’s one of the lightest containers worldwide. It consists of 100% [r]PET and is fully recyclable. The line-compatible container proves convincing with its high-quality material and design. Despite its minimal weight, it meets all functional requirements and is also pleasing in appearance. It therefore sets new standards with respect to sustainability, processing quality and aesthetics.

Focus on glass: resource-conserving and hygienic

In the glass segment, KHS is launching a new bottle washer to market in the form of the Innoclean Cascade D. Its low energy and media consumption and smaller footprint are especially compelling. The further development of the established Innopas SX tunnel pasteurizer also centers on resource conservation, hygienic design and – first and foremost – process reliability.

Cooperation with other technology leaders is of prime importance to KHS. Since 2024, this has also included Tyrolon GmbH from Austria that specializes in conveying stars and neck clamp systems. At drinktec, the two companies will be presenting their turnkey machinery for glass and PET lines together for the first time.

Focus on cans: SmartCan Eco convincing with various new features

KHS has two more strong partners at its side in Ferrum Packaging AG and H.F. Meyer Maschinenbau GmbH. The joint venture is working to produce compact line systems for the canning segment. The aim is to pool the strengths of the three technology pioneers in one turnkey system in the best way possible.

The SmartCan Eco by KHS/Ferrum is just one example of this successful cooperation on an equal footing. The can filler/seamer block boasts a refined hygiene concept, with the size of the hygiene zone reduced by up to 93%. It scores with fast product and format changeovers and a range of automatic functions and settings. KHS’ developers have also significantly cut the amount of energy and media needed by the machine.

KHS will be presenting its systems, solutions and services in Hall B4 at drinktec, Messe München, from September 15 to 19, 2025.
