From June 1st 2019, Danielsen officially takes over his new field of activities at NIC-place. He will work for the open 360° Logistics platform as Business Development Manager. In his 8 years at GateHouse/Project44, he has already worked in a similar field.

The native Dane, Søren Danielsen, has worked with logistics all his working life. Coming from the traditional freight logistics, he started his carrer in the digital logistics sector at GateHouse in 2010. “I was lucky to start around the time when the first steps of digitalization the transport industry were taken”, summarizes Danielsen.

Again, Danielsen starts off facing interesting times for the industry, as NIC-place has a different approach of using tracking data for business processes. NIC-place provides solutions to visualize, monitor and analyze telematics data of mixed fleets as well as for transparent shipment tracking combined with ETA calculation in one application, particularly with deep sensor integration and self-configurable event escalation tools. “For me the decisive factor was that NIC-place has this new and different approach to tracking data and I wanted to be part of this big step”, says Danielsen.

With NIC-place the self-proclameid “Germaholic” has found the perfect partner to push the market devlopments in a way he is dedicated to, as it will be the next big thing for the industry in the future: “I guess the demand for data will grow further, not only because more and more companies are requesting data, but also because there will be a demand for higher quality of data, which for example means everything from temperature of each trailer, to the door sensor, the service cyclus of the reefer unit as well as the tire pressures and temperatures.” The many years of experience and the deep knowledge base about sensor data integration, 2-way-communications and a multistage alarm and event escalation management of NIC-place convinced particularly.

Danielsen concludes: “I am looking forward to the trade fair and future, because I believe, we are only just starting to see what can be done with data.”
