The Technical University of Munich’s plant fire department has been operating electrically for twelve months, probably as the only fire department in Bavaria, and has now taken stock. Although there were considerable reservations, the two vehicles have successfully proven their performance and even score points with some improvements (noise pollution, for example). If an operation takes longer than expected, a range extender can ensure longer operational capability. Electric mobility therefore also works for the fire department. In agriculture, electric vehicles and machines can reduce the use of fossil fuels. And farms can provide their own mobility by using their own photovoltaic systems. In air travel, electric aircraft, which until recently were a dream of the future, are becoming a reality, at least for short distances.
The fact that artificial intelligence is penetrating more and more areas, including art and music, for example, is unstoppable. Green "applications" as well as the expansion of data centers and increasing electrification all require copper. According to forecasts, there will be a shortage of the reddish metal in 2025 and 2026. This will cause prices for the metal to rise. UBS, for example, is optimistic about copper in the long term, even if there are short-term growth concerns. This is because mine supply is subject to limited growth, while demand is rising. Mining companies should therefore be pleased about copper in their projects.
U.S. GoldMining – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/us-goldmining-inc/ – owns the Whistler project in Alaska, which is home to large gold and copper resources and is extremely promising. The local government supports the mining sector and provides the necessary infrastructure.
Mogotes Metals – https://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/mogotes-metals-inc/ – owns copper and gold projects in Argentina and Chile. The Filo Sur copper project (Argentina) appears to be particularly promising.
