Following the acquisition of DELTA LOGIC Automatisierungstechnik GmbH in April 2025, Softing Industrial Automation GmbH will launch siAccess, the successor to DELTA LOGIC’s proven ACCON AGLink communication library, in December 2025. The transition from ACCON AGLink to siAccess represents a major technological update and strengthens Softing Industrial’s position as a leading provider of industrial communication and OT/IT integration solutions.

Modern communication library for PC–PLC integration

For many years, ACCON AGLink has enabled fast, flexible, and reliable data exchange between PCs and Siemens controllers. The software provides seamless access to various PLC types, communication paths, and operating systems. This creates a solid foundation for automation, visualization, and monitoring applications.

The new siAccess focuses on simplified, secure, and future-proof communication paths and enhanced cross-platform usability. Key highlights include:

  • Focus on modern communication paths – support for TCP/IP for S7 Plus, S7, and S5, as well as MPI via NetLink and CIFX.
  • Simplified integration on embedded systems – easier deployment in embedded Linux environments and added support for 32-bit and 64-bit Linux ARM platforms.
  • Enhanced cybersecurity and compliance – new security features to be introduced in 2026, fully aligned with the EU Cyber Resilience Act.
  • Continuous product evolution – active maintenance and planned extensions, including broader SINUMERIK connectivity from 2026 onward.
  • Streamlined redistribution model – simplified license and deployment management for developers and OEMs.

Future-proof, secure, and easy to deploy

By phasing out legacy serial interfaces and focusing on today’s most relevant industrial protocols, siAccess offers developers and integrators a more streamlined environment for automation, monitoring, and analytics applications. The solution is designed to simplify deployment in both desktop and embedded Linux environments and will continue to evolve in alignment with emerging cybersecurity and connectivity standards.

Seamless migration for existing customers

Customers with active maintenance contracts for ACCON AGLink will benefit from a smooth migration path to siAccess, including access to updates, extended platform support, and redistribution options for developers. Migration offers and technical guidance are available directly from Softing Industrial.
