Trotec Laser offers a picosecond laser with 100 W for this purpose, which can produce markings with a depth of 100 µm, for example, with a tolerance of ±5 µm. Engraving is carried out by cold ablation, vaporising the material without subjecting it to thermal stress. The extremely short pulses also achieve very high precision, making this integration laser suitable for sensitive materials.
To comply with the Euro 7 standard, a testable wear indicator is required that does not involve sensors or the removal of brake discs. The laser-based solution meets this requirement, reducing complexity and costs. This enables workshops and end users to visually assess the condition of the brake disc at any time.
Trotec Laser, headquartered in Marchtrenk, Austria, is a global leader in the field of laser technology. As part of the TroGroup, the European innovation leader develops, produces and markets high-end laser systems for precise marking, cutting and engraving of various materials and is constantly setting new standards.
