The Imaging Source, international manufacturer of machine vision cameras and software for industrial imaging, announces the release of its new Visus IP67 Series, a ruggedized line of GigE industrial cameras designed for demanding industrial environments where compact size, reliability, and cost efficiency are critical.

Developed for OEMs, systems integrators, and machine builders, the Visus IP67 Series combines rugged IP67 protection with a compact 43 × 43 × 34.5 mm housing, making it one of the most compact GigE IP67 camera platforms currently available. The compact design provides greater flexibility when integrating machine vision systems into space-constrained industrial equipment while maintaining reliable operation in harsh environments.

Compact IP67 Cameras for Modern Industrial Vision

The Visus IP67 Series supports a wide range of industrial imaging applications including robotics, factory automation, warehouse logistics, food processing, agriculture, and automotive manufacturing. Typical applications include barcode and QR code reading, robot guidance, pick-and-place systems, package inspection, defect detection, and assembly verification.

The cameras combine modern sensor technology with industrial-grade connectivity and are designed to support a wide range of machine vision applications through:

  • Sony and onsemi global and rolling shutter sensors from 3.1 MP to 20 MP
  • M12 X-coded GigE with Power-over-Ethernet
  • M8 A-coded connector for I/O and auxiliary power
  • 1× Trigger IN and 2× GPOUT
  • Compact 43 × 43 × 34.5 mm housing
  • IP6K6 and IP6K7 ingress protection

These models are now available as prototypes in limited quantities for selected customers and partners, with series production scheduled for Q3 2026.

Engineered for Lower Integration Cost

The Visus IP67 platform was developed with a strong focus on reducing integration effort and overall total cost of ownership. In addition to competitive camera pricing, The Imaging Source offers a coordinated ecosystem of compatible accessories including IP67-rated data and I/O cables, IP67 lens tubes, and S-Mount (M12) lenses.

By combining compact mechanics, current-generation sensors, industrial connectivity, and a coordinated accessory ecosystem, the Visus IP67 Series provides a modern and cost-effective platform for next-generation GigE machine vision systems.

“Machine builders and integrators increasingly need rugged vision hardware that is both compact and cost-effective without compromising performance,” said Momchil Binev, Senior Product Manager at The Imaging Source. “With the Visus IP67 series, we focused not only on camera performance, but also on delivering a highly competitive overall system cost for industrial imaging applications.”
