The fanless power supply operates across an extended temperature range from -20°C to +70°C and is ideally suited for continuous operation in enclosed industrial PC systems. Polymer Capacitors for a 12+ Year Design Lifetime
Unlike conventional industrial power supplies, which use traditional electrolytic capacitors, the BEP-520C relies exclusively on high-quality polymer capacitors. These are characterised by high temperature resistance, minimal ageing and stable electrical properties throughout their entire service life. As a result, the power supply unit is designed to last for more than twelve years and ensures a reliable power supply even during 24/7 operation.
Energy-Efficient and Fanless
With a typical efficiency exceeding 90 percent, the BEP-520C operates with outstanding energy efficiency. Heat generated during operation is dissipated directly through an optimized thermal connection to the enclosure, eliminating the need for active cooling fans. This reduces maintenance requirements, prevents mechanical wear, and increases operational reliability in dusty or enclosed industrial environments. At the same time, standby power consumption remains below 0.3 watts, fully complying with the requirements of ErP Lot 6.
Reliable power supply for industrial PC systems
The BEP-520C features galvanic isolation between the input and output, with an isolation voltage of 3000 VAC. The regulated ATX output voltages (+3.3 V, +5 V, +12 V, -12 V and +5 VSB) reliably power modern industrial motherboards and do not require a minimum load. Comprehensive protection functions, such as short-circuit, overload, overvoltage and overtemperature protection, ensure the safe operation of both the power supply unit and the connected IPC system.
Rugged Industrial Quality for Extreme Requirements
The industrial PC power supply has been specifically designed for operation under high mechanical stress. A high-quality FR4 industrial PCB with plated-through holes, combined with a rugged mechanical design, ensures permanently reliable solder joints even under severe shock and vibration conditions. The BEP-520C complies with the requirements of EN 60068-2-27 (Shock), EN 60068-2-6 (Sinusoidal Vibration), and EN 60068-2-64 (Broadband Random Vibration). An integrated cable management system also enables the flexible use of customer-specific cable assemblies, while a matching DC cable set is included as standard.
