Opel STX Concept, Opel GSE 27FE and Opel Corsa GSE – these are just a few highlights that will cause a stir at the Paris Motor Show in a few days. The German manufacturer’s newcomers will be appropriately staged at the Opel booth A42 in Hall 4 of the ‘Mondial de l’Auto 2026’, where Opel will turn the Autobahn into an emotional stage. With five black lanes, the booth concept picks up on the design of a German motorway. The focus is on the world premieres – as a visible expression of Opel’s present and future.

The booth design combines two pillars of the Rüsselsheim-based manufacturer: German engineering excellence, which stands for precision, state-of-the-art technologies and innovative solutions, and the highly dynamic, emotional ‘OMG! GSE-Grand Sport Electric’ world. Created by Opel’s Global Brand Design team in Rüsselsheim, the stand transforms Opel’s vision of the future into an immersive environment where design, technology and German engineering excellence become tangible. Where technical expertise meets sporty dynamics and electrifying performance, a sensational appearance is created that brings together the different facets of Opel. Visitors enter a world built around one central idea: making speed visible.

Like on the Autobahn, the lanes guide visitors through the stand. They create orientation and at the same time a feeling of movement and progress. The world premieres, which Opel CEO Florian Huettl will present to the audience at the press conference on Monday, October 12, starting at 11:40 a.m., together with Head of Marketing Rebecca Reinermann and Head of Design Mark Adams, take centre stage.

On the one hand, the Opel Sports Tourer eXperimental Concept, or STX Concept for short. It represents the bold vision of the electric estate of tomorrow. It combines German engineering, emotional design and intelligent technologies in such a way that drivers and passengers experience the highest level of driving engagement. At the same time, it symbolises the next step in Opel’s design philosophy – even bolder, clearer, more emotional and more efficient. On the same ‘lane’, the Opel GSE 27FE also celebrates its first major appearance in its final race design. The race car for the GEN4 era of the Formula E World Championship represents the epitome of the Opel GSE performance concept. Both world premieres mark the focal point of the booth and embody the next generation of Opel models and technologies.

‘Lightspeed’ look: German engineering merges with Grand Sport Electric

At the same time, Opel stands for a long tradition of German automotive technology. This competence is visible at the booth through clear lines, high-quality materials and precise staging of the vehicles. Every element has a function. Every line has a purpose. Nothing is there by coincidence. Technology and functionality form the basis for this.

On the other hand, there is the emotional side of GSE. It takes sporty design, electrified mobility and driving engagement to the next level. The GSE world brings dynamism and emotion to the stand and shows that electrification is not only a question of technology, but also of emotions. This is underlined by the colours yellow, silver, black and white, in which the entire appearance is designed. Yellow and white ‘Lightspeed Stripes’, which run across the entire stand, put the two world premieres as well as all other models in the appropriate light. The striking graphics thus pick up on the design idea of the Opel GSE 27FE prototype: Speed needs to be tangible and visible even when stationary – and the animated ‘lightspeed’ graphics visualise exactly that.

At the heart of the stand is the Opel GSE Yellow Pixel Cube. Cutting through the striking architecture, it acts as both a visual beacon and a powerful expression of the GSE spirit. Combined with the floating 3.5-metre media cube, the bold yellow signature symbolises electric energy and performance.

From the middle ‘lane’, the two Opel worlds, which are inseparably linked, diversify. On the one hand, visitors dive deeper into the ‘OMG! GSE’ world. For example, the new Opel Corsa GSE, which can already be ordered, celebrates its trade fair premiere in Paris. Of course, the Opel Mokka GSE is also a must, after all, last year it was the first to bring the rally feeling of the Mokka GSE Rally, which has the same power with up to 207 kW (281 hp), from the rally stage to the road. And by presenting the new Astra GSE Line, which will be available from spring 2027, Opel is making the GSE feeling accessible to everyone – regardless of their preferred powertrain.

On the other two outer lanes, Opel is presenting further electrified bestsellers from the affordable Frontera Electric family SUV to the top-of-the-line Grandland Electric AWD, once again demonstrating that the German manufacturer offers electrified mobility for everyone.

Pit Stop Experience: From spectator to driver

But that’s not all: Motorsport is not only displayed on the Opel stand. It can be experienced. Developed in partnership with GIANTX, the dedicated Pit Stop Experience brings together performance, technology and gaming. Inspired by Opel’s Formula E programme, visitors can race on an exclusive Opel-themed Trackmania circuit, challenge friends, set lap records and compete for daily prizes. On Saturday, professional Trackmania players will go head-to-head in a live GIANTX tournament, bringing the intensity of competition directly to the show floor.

And the Opel experience extends beyond the track. Visitors will also be able to discover and purchase products from the official Opel Collection directly on the stand, including an exclusive new Formula E Collection celebrating Opel’s debut season in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship – which, of course, will also be available through the Opel Collection online store. Together with the Pit Stop Experience, the merchandise area transforms the Opel stand into a complete brand destination where visitors can see, experience and live the GSE spirit.

With the combination of Autobahn architecture, visionary world premieres and the two pillars of technological precision and a highly dynamic GSE experience, Opel is creating an appearance at the Paris Motor Show that spatially translates the further development of the German manufacturer: The road becomes a stage, the world premieres show the way and GSE adds emotion to the future. In this way, the Opel booth will become a place where German engineering and electrified sportiness merge – and where visitors can experience the future of the brand live from October 12 to 18.
