The second week of DokfestOnline has started and the
DokfestStreams are available until November 27. Today, all 202 films are available until midnight. Since each film is only available for six days from the scheduled presentation in the cinema, the films that started last Wednesday will disappear this evening and there will be fewer each day.
The DokfestChannels are still online on our homepage until Friday. There you can find: our opening, the exhibition Monitoring, the homage to Frank Thöner, the statements of the filmmakers in the program, the DokfestSalon – Future German Film, the OK. As a contribution to Profis Plaudern Praxis, Brenda Lien gave a lecture on the advantages and disadvantages of film exploitation online and at film festivals (in English).
Daniel Sponsel and Adele Kohout were asked to share their 9 theses on the future of cinema documentary film at the DokfestSalon – Future German Film. Based on the online edition of DOK.fest Munich 2020, Sponsel and Kohout discuss how documentary film can take advantage of the current situation and what steps are now necessary to enable cinemas to benefit from the chances (in German).
