  • State administration commissions Bechtle to procure up to 1,500 servers
  • Bechtle also to provide consulting and other services until 2024
  • Dell EMC is Bechtle’s manufacturer partner

The Logistikzentrum Baden-Württemberg (LZBW—logistics centre of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg) has extended its closed framework agreement with the Neckarsulm IT provider, Bechtle, by an additional 12 months to 30.04.2019, the maximum the agreement permits.

The Logistikzentrum Baden-Württemberg has awarded Bechtle the framework agreement for server hardware and service provision. The framework agreement, signed in April 2017, has a volume of some 3 million euros and has now been extended by a further twelve months to the maximum duration until 30.04.2019. This allows state authorities to continue to easily and quickly procure server of various classes and configurations through Bechtle, in addition to additional IT services and warranty services. Beneficiaries of the new agreement include public colleges and universities, the Baden-Württemberg Landtag, as well as all state ministries and offices. In addition, Bechtle will provide consulting and on-site services for server hardware until the end of March 2024.

“This extension not only demonstrates satisfaction with our services to date, but shows the trust placed in Bechtle’s future-oriented approach—in particular with regard to the increasing challenges of digitalisation. We are very pleased to be continuing this cooperation”, says Bernd Ihle, Head of Sales, Public Sector Division, Bechtle IT Systems Integrator Neckarsulm. The agreement covers servers of various performance classes and versions such as towers and racks. In addition to supplying devices, Bechtle’s services will include planning, installing, deploying and operating IT networks. “This agreement lets us provide future-proof IT to Baden-Württemberg’s government employees and its higher education institutions. The Bechtle Group’s broad network of systems integrators ensures that technicians can be on-site with the client quickly, wherever in Baden-Württemberg they are located”, explains Sandro Loi, Account Manager at Bechtle’s IT Systems Integrator in Neckarsulm, who has been involved in the project since it begun.
