Swiss electronics distributor Computer Controls AG is expanding its range with the product lines from Neoway Technology, a manufacturer of machine to machine (M2M) modules from China. With this new supplier, Computer Controls can now fulfill customer requirements for key wireless applications in automotive electronics, facilities and energy technology, medicine and healthcare, and security and surveillance. These include, for example, smart meters for media such as electricity, water and gas, intelligent point of sale (POS) terminals, blood pressure monitors, wearables, and charging stations for electrical vehicles. All these applications now contain communication modules that enable them for the Internet of Things via GSM/GPRS or new wireless standards such as NarrowBand.

“The portfolio from Neoway is an ideal addition to our sales program. We offer our customers semiconductor products for end devices that can be used in a wide range of applications to monitor and manage battery-supported power supply and surge protection, as well as storage components, interfaces and DC/DC power,” says Harald Weigelt, CEO of Computer Controls. “Only M2M technology combines information and communication technology to create smart final products.
