Puraclean has been working closely with the companies mycon and Kipp Umwelttechnik GmbH for more than four years. So far, the cooperation has been limited to the field of industrial service. In this area, Puraclean cleans heat exchangers, cold stores and cleans, stripping and stripping surfaces using equipment developed by mycon.
The delivery of the filter cleaning system FilterMaster from mycon GmbH to Puraclean extended the cooperation to the area of vehicle service. It is possible to clean exhaust particulate filters of all types and sizes. In addition to all emission control systems, other filter systems can be cleaned. The capacity of Puraclean for the purification of exhaust particulate filters / catalysts is in the five-digit range annually. The patented cleaning system was developed by Kipp Umwelttechnik, the sister company of mycon GmbH, with state support and the participation of universities. mycon is responsible for the production and international distribution of the systems. The companies Kipp Umwelttechnik and mycon are specialists in the development and application of material and environmentally friendly processes for the cleaning of sensitive and difficult-to-clean surfaces in industry.

About the Puraclean GmbH
In 1976, Mr. Peter Hintermann founded the Carrosserie P. Hintermann and thus laid the first foundation for today’s Puraclean GmbH. P. Hintermann is a specialist in body repair and painting. After the first ten years, in which the company was based in Dielsdorf, took place in the year 1988, the move to the new, modern establishment after Oberhasli. Since this modernization have also a separate paint booth.

From 2002 to 2006 Reto Hintermann completed the apprenticeship Polymechanics with Swiss Federal Certificate. This was followed by a team leader school and then the management of a CNC department. Already since that time he took over the management of the car body shop during the vacation absences of his father, thereby also the desire for self-employed was awakened.

After completing the industrial master examination with Swiss Federal Department of Design, the company Puraclean was founded with the aim of offering environmentally conscious industrial cleaning in Switzerland.

Thanks to many years of experience in many areas of industrial cleaning and the auto service sector, both companies are working with practice-oriented specialists who attach great importance to prompt and reliable work.

FilterMaster in use at Puraclean
FilterMaster for cars and more, works gently without pressure within a short cleaning time. In the dirty filter an environmentally friendly, even drinkable active substance component is introduced for cleaning, which dissolves dirt and clogging in the filter. The dirt is subsequently discharged from the filter together with the active ingredient component. This is followed by drying in the oven at temperatures well below the melting point of all filter constituents. A separation of the filter is not required, the filter housing remains untouched without separation or rewelding. Thus, a possible source of error: the weakening of the housing by inadequate welds excluded from the outset.

With the aid of this method, it is also possible to clean several filters built into a large housing, for example filters of heavy trucks, without any separation.

Puraclean uses the FilterMaster for trucks and dry snow system for a very fast cleaning system. This is used when at least both filter surfaces of a filter are freely accessible.

System of particle filter cleaning with FilterMaster
Each particulate filter goes through an incoming inspection immediately after delivery. First, the exact weight of the filter is determined before cleaning. This is followed by a back pressure measurement (differential pressure test) to determine how much the filter is closed.

The differential pressure test is carried out by means of a complex test rig. The test stand can hold filters weighing up to 500kg. Test pressure and test quantities of the air are each adapted to the filter. It can be tested with air volumes up to 1400cbm / operating hour and up to 240mbar pressure. This allows accurate and meaningful measurements.

All values determined are documented for the comparison after cleaning and to control the cleaning success. After the weight measurement and the differential pressure test, depending on the design, the filter is either treated with the dry snow method or with the aid of the active ingredient component and cleaned. This is followed by a gentle drying in the oven to dry the filter completely. After drying, another weight measurement is performed to control how much soot and ash has been removed from the filter. In order to determine whether the passage values of a new filter could at least approximately be restored by the cleaning, a differential pressure test is again carried out.

The entire process is documented. If deviations are detected, the customer will be informed in this regard and if necessary also contacted in advance by telephone.
