The 26th edition of THE GREEN EXPO, organized by E.J.Krause de México in association with CONIECO (National Association of Industrial Ecologists), will take place at the World Trade Center in Mexico City from September 4th – 6th, 2018. SENER (Secretary of Energy) supports the only international trade show for environmental technology and energy economy and the main event for renewable energies in Mexico and Latin America.

In last year´s edition more than 200 exhibitors presented their sustainable products and services in the fields of photovoltaic, solarthermics, biomass, recycling and waste management as well as energy saving concepts and solutions for green cities to nearly 10.000 professional visitors. Alongside the exhibition a high-level conference program with more than 100 renowned speakers took place, organized by CONIECO. The most attended sessions contain key topics like climate change, energy turnaround, standards for municipal waste and environmental management and renewable energies.

Due to the abolition of the governmental monopoly and liberalization of the Mexican energy sector in 2013 followed by the energy reform in 2015, which included the admission of private enterprises, the market offers various opportunities for international companies. The statutory guidelines are demanding a reduction of fossil sources and the coverage of 35 % of the energy requirement from renewable resources up to 2024. Mexico is one of the most attractive markets for investments in the area of renewable energies, ranking on 9th place worldwide as per index from Ernest & Young Global. According to the published report around 2,8 billion USD investments have been made in the past quarter. The Mexican energy ministry stated that foreign direct investments (FDI) in renewable energies are mainly coming from companies from the US and Germany, led by Spanish companies.

THE GREEN EXPO trade audience is very interested in European companies, especially their experience in the implementation of the energy transition and future-oriented solutions from advanced technology suppliers. For 8 years in a row, there is a German pavilion with spezialised companies, organized by IEC Berlin and supported by the German Federal Ministry of Energy. Also companies from Austria receive a financial support from their government for the Austrian Pavilion. Options to participate individually or in the national pavilions can be obtained by E.J.Krause & Associates, Inc. Germany and via www.ejkgermany.de.
