From 17 to 19 April 2018, oil and gas experts will meet at the International SAP Conference for Oil and Gas in Lisbon, Portugal. Implico – the only software company to develop standard SAP solutions for the downstream sector – will show visitors at its stand how SAP SDM and SAP RFNO can support downstream companies on their digital journey. The Canadian Implico customer Groupe F. Dufresne will report on best-practice solutions and architectures with the SAP solutions.

Before the start of the SAP Oil and Gas Conference, Implico will demonstrate its special expertise in the oil and gas industry as well as its in-depth knowledge of SAP solutions in expert workshops. In a joint workshop with SAP, experts from the software company will explain the commercial advantages of the new S/4HANA solutions for secondary distribution in the oil and gas sector.

The SAP S/4HANA Oil & Gas for Secondary Distribution Management and SAP S/4HANA Oil & Gas for Retail Fuel Network Operations solutions were both realized by Implico in close cooperation with SAP’s developers. The solutions are based on the traditional Business Suite versions of SAP SDM and SAP RFNO, which SAP has been marketing for many years and which were also developed by Implico for the oil and gas product business and service station management. SAP SDM offers standardized, proven best-practice order-to-cash processes, while SAP RFNO handles and automates all payment and logistics processes for service station networks. With their ability to automate business processes, these solutions offer an outstanding cost/benefit ratio.

What is more, the new S/4HANA technology can now process data almost 300 times faster than before. This makes settlement possible in a matter of seconds with SAP RFNO, even for large service station networks.

Integration with SAP for Retail in the service station business

On the third day in Lisbon, the Dufresne company from Canada will give a presentation on how it is achieving its digital transformation with the help of SAP RFNO and SAP SDM. Implico recently introduced SAP RFNO and SDM for the Canadian fuel retailer. The special aspect at Dufresne is the integration between the SAP downstream solution for its fuels business with the SAP for Retail solution.

“Digital transformation is a challenging process that brings companies numerous advantages – particularly in terms of connecting people, things and processes. And this happens even as they are making the first changes,” said Torsten Peter, Implico’s Managing Partner with responsibility for SAP business. “The software also integrates and automates all processes based on predefined workflows. Our solutions therefore give companies leeway that they can use for customer loyalty management, for example.”
