The BMZ Group based in Karlstein am Main has now been officially announced as a shareholder of Sachs Micro Mobility Solutions GmbH. After a short period of examination, the EU Commission gave the green light to the fourth shareholder of the joint venture. BMZ, as the second largest shareholder, will bring in know-how in the development and production of high-tech battery systems to the joint venture alongside the automotive supplier ZF, which also owns the Sachs brand, and the brake manufacturers Magura and BFO.

Development of holistic system solutions

Sachs Micro Mobility has now created all the prerequisites for the holistic development and production of products. "We are pleased about the short-term, positive decision of the European Commission. Central engine Sachs RS for demanding mountain biking

The company had already presented the Sachs RS high-performance engine at the Eurobike 2018. The completely new developed engine creates a whole new driving experience for e-bikers and is ideal for e-mountain biking in demanding terrain. In combination with the high-performance lithium-ion batteries and trend-setting connectivity offerings, it forms a high-performance product package.

BMZ Drive Systems – market leader for open e-bike systems

The BMZ Group is the provider of open e-bike systems. With the BMZ Drive Systems system solutions of display, motor, lithium-ion battery and the adapted charger for e-bikes are possible. In addition to the integration of the Sachs engine, BMZ Drive Systems also offers systems with Brose, Alber, Suntour and other engines. Also new are the batteries for the SHIMANO STEPS system. In the BMZ E.Volution Center, the development of individual complete solutions for the customers takes place – Made in Germany. Around 3,000 employees work for the BMZ Group worldwide.
