BITZER will be introducing its digital products and services to visitors via a customer journey at Chillventa 2018 in Nuremberg from 16 to 18 October. The specialist for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology will be showcasing these and further innovations at stand 326 in hall 7.

BITZER is increasing its focus on the digital experience at this year’s Chillventa: the company’s trade fair stand will provide industry representatives with the opportunity to embark on a digital journey of their own making. Here, trade fair visitors can experience the diversity of digital BITZER tools and applications such as BITZER software, the individual myBITZER platform, intelligent products and services, and the globally represented Green Point service and maintenance network. Presentations throughout the entire trade fair will allow visitors to find out more about applications, BITZER training courses on alternative and low-GWP refrigerants, and the service tools introduced during the digital journey, including:

BEST software, BEST App and BITZER SPOT App: product benefits at a glanceThe BEST software (BITZER Electronics Service Tool) makes it much easier for service engineers to do their work, as it allows them to quickly and safely adjust device parameters, analyse errors, display operating data, update the firmware and more. BITZER has updated the tool for commissioning, monitoring and servicing compressors and their electronic components, now available in version 2.9. Among other things, the update features newly added refrigerants and BITZER products, completes the alarm help texts, and boasts a new documentation tab containing the full documentation for Modbus RTU.

Users can now also take advantage of the benefits of the BEST software on the go using the BEST App, which enables mobile configuration via smartphone or tablet and connects to selected BITZER products via Bluetooth. Data logs can also be downloaded via the BEST App and then stored directly in the cloud.

Another helpful tool for air-conditioning and refrigeration professionals has been on the App Store and Google Play since late August 2018: the BITZER SPOT App enables users to verify the authenticity status of their BITZER products. Additionally, the BITZER SPOT App contains extensive documentation and a directory of all BITZER and Green Point service points as well as all certified dealers.

B-SAFE and B-READY: on the safe side
With a network of more than 50 Green Points and 70 authorised service centres around the world, BITZER supports its customers with individual solutions and services. BITZER customers can therefore rely on tailored support even after purchase: the B-SAFE service package helps install the systems, whilst the B-READY service package allows BITZER experts to regularly check the products following commissioning and retrofit them as required.

20th (digital) Refrigerant Report: tool for the entire industry
To mark the occasion of Chillventa, BITZER is publishing the 20th edition of the Refrigerant Report, the latest version of a resource that is valued by the entire industry. This edition focuses on refrigerants for special applications, lubricants for compressors, low-GWP HFO and HFO/HFC refrigerants, refrigerant development and the general legal framework. Alongside this update, BITZER has also developed a digital Refrigerant Report, which enables targeted online access to comprehensive information on certain refrigerants and refrigerant groups as well as a complete list of refrigerant data with concrete recommendations on lubricants. Both versions can be downloaded free of charge at www.bitzer.de.

The BITZER Group is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of refrigeration compressors. BITZER is represented across the globe through distribution companies and production facilities for reciprocating, screw and scroll compressors, heat exchangers and pressure vessels. In 2017, 3,500 employees generated sales of €740 million.
