KeepTool is considered a Swiss Army knife for administrative and programming tasks related to Oracle. The software supports all Oracle features, and its use is self-explanatory and incredibly simple. “Time and time again, our users confirm that they find their bearings immediately and are able to use all functions straight away, even without a manual,” says Rolf Grünewald, Managing Partner of KeepTool GmbH. Another strength is that customer requirements from daily practice are captured and implemented in a short period of time. KeepTool has therefore been expanded with over 40 new functions in Version 14 and given a new design that further improves user-friendliness: “The version released on 25 June 2018 is already proving to be extremely popular.”

Comprehensive functionality, broad compatibility and flexible licensing model

“For over 20 years, KeepTool has been making it easier for developers, database administrators and end users to work with and use Oracle.” In the latest Version, Excel exports for grouped data and sum fields have been optimised, amongst other features, the grouping of data in the data browser is possible in multiple columns and the data browser of KeepTool 14 now enables a master-detail view. Just like before, KeepTool can also be licensed in two editions:

– KeepTool Professional includes development and administration tool Hora with additional tools such as SQL Editor, HTML Documentation Generator and Reverse DDL Engineer.

– KeepTool Enterprise includes all tools from the Professional edition and additionally the ER Diagrammer, PL/SQL Debugger and DB Compare.

All KeepTool 14 editions are compatible with Windows 7, 8.1 and 10, and the respective 2008 Release 2, 2012, 2012 Release 2 and 2016 server versions. The server for the management of network licenses can also be operated using macOS or Linux. All editions are available as 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

Newly designed website for a better overview

“Like our tools, our website should also be as user-friendly as possible. Therefore, we have subjected it to a critical evaluation.” Both the appearance and the use of www.keeptool.com have been reviewed and adjusted to make the path to obtaining the important information as clear and short as possible.
