At this year’s formnext, the leading trade fair for additive manufacturing, SLM Solutions is presenting comprehensive solutions in selective laser melting. Visitors will be given exclusive insights into the complete SLM® product portfolio at booth D70 in hall 3.0: from machines to services to materials, supplemented by numerous application examples. The German-based company is also providing information about current career opportunities within the context of the supporting program.

One of the highlights at the trade fair booth will be the world’s first 3D printed chassis from Divergent3D. SLM Solutions is a strategic long-term partner of the company with comprehensive collaboration and consulting in focus: from the co-development of an additive manufacturing facility to individual parameter development. "What Divergent has achieved with the production of a chassis is unique. We are pleased to be able to present the chassis to trade show visitors at formnext, symbolizing the strong collaboration between SLM Solutions and Divergent. A visit is definitely worth it,” Dr. Axel Schulz, CSO of SLM Solutions Group AG, stated.
Divergent3D and SLM Solutions are linked in a close strategic partnership. The companies are working closely together in the development of software and hardware components to produce high volumes of vehicles cost-effectively with new methods.

SLM Solutions is also showcasing its comprehensive portfolio and integrated solutions for additive manufacturing once again this year. Another highlight will be the presentation of the new SLM® 280 production series. The machine impresses above all with even greater robustness, maximum process stability and availability, making it ideal for use in series production.

The SLM®800 will be displayed as a virtual reality exhibit, which is particularly suitable for mass production of large components. Visitors can discover the highly productive machine with all its functionalities and automation capabilities in a digital 3D view. Another highlight will be the presentation of the Bugatti cylinder head cover, which was manufactured on the SLM®800.

The SLM Solutions team will be available for individual consultation on various topics such as quality assurance, material development, service and consulting. Visitors will also be able to experience live demonstrations of Additive.Designer®, the versatile and customizable software solution for easy data preparation of complex components.

"We are pleased to be able to present our comprehensive solution approaches in additive manufacturing at formnext and are looking forward to many interesting discussions on technical issues," Uwe Bögershausen, CFO of SLM Solutions Group AG, explained.

formnext will take place in Frankfurt am Main from November 13 to 16 and is the leading trade fair for additive manufacturing. In addition to the large exhibition area, there will also be an attractive supporting program with exclusive talks, a Start-Up Challenge and a Career Day, in which SLM Solutions will also participate. At the AM4U stage, Dennis Schäfer, Director HR, Legal & Investor Relations, will give a talk on "Careers at SLM Solutions" on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, between 1.19 and 1.29 pm, followed by a Q&A session.
