When Dipl. Ing. Göran Vogt founded MPV Ingenieurbüro VOGT in the spring of 1983, he dedicated himself with passion and a vision of user-friendly and safe non-destructive material testing. What began as a competent service provider and independent testing laboratory was quickly expanded with the development, manufacture and sale of innovative testing equipment and systems in Germany and abroad. After intensive market observation, VOGT Ultrasonics launched the PROlineUSB ultrasonic unit (Fig. 2), its first own line of ultrasonic inspection systems, in 2009.

Today, ultrasonic testing systems from Burgwedel are in use almost everywhere in the world where the automotive industry manufactures. With an increasing number of customers, the PROline product range was extended and further developed from small laboratory inspection systems to large, networked, inline and industry 4.0 ready inspection systems. In 2016, VOGT Ultrasonics launched another innovation on the market, the PHAsis phased array spot weld inspection line developed specifically for the high demands of the automotive industry.

The establishment and expansion of the company’s own testing centre also led to an increase in the number of service assignments. As an independent testing laboratory qualified according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001 EN 9100 and special customer certifications, more and more enquiries are being received from other European countries. The broad range of non-destructive testing methods also boosted growth. Automatic single and serial ultrasonic testing in immersion technique contributed in particular to this growth.

VOGT Ultrasonics considers itself well prepared for the future. Göran Vogt is certain: "In recent years, a great 60-member team has grown together with a responsible management level that thinks beyond short-term success and supports the management. Committed, competent employees as well as innovative testing systems and reliable testing services will continue to ensure positive development and continuous growth in the future".
