Personal rescue beacons with the size of a smartphone which can be integrated into an automatic life jacket self-inflating in event of emergency – this is what every crewmen wants to have. These whishes can be fullfilled by the easyRESCUE devices from Weatherdock AG since a few years ago.

Current GPS Position via VHF – for fastest rescue possible

In event of Man over Board emergency, the easyRESCUE is activated automatically and starts transmitting a world wide standarized emergency signal including current GPS position as well as information of course and speed over ground the victim might drift in a current. This signal can be received at his own vessel as well as all vessels in the vicinity of up to 15 nautical miles which is approx. 20 km and displayed on an electronical chart plotter. This immediate reception enables to realize rescue missions as soon as possible, even for non-rescue-organization-boats.

In addition to the pleassure boaters, a huge amount of international authorites, e.g. the German DGzRS, the Dutch KNRM, the Danish Coast Guard, Spanish Aduana and Coast Guard, the German Navy as well as Navys of Danmark, the Netherlands, Belgium and Taiwan and the Singapore Water Police are convinced customers and users of the AIS personal locating beacon easyRESCUE.

This sentence fits totally Weatherdock’s characteristics. Parallel to the personal locating beacon easyRESCUE, there is the palm-sized VHF based locator vmsTRACK-PRO with a world wide sales coverage. The small unit, with a size of a smartphone as well, enables persistant position reporting of a vessel with additional ship information, transmitted in real-time. The vmsTRACK-PRO is used by authorities for coastal surveillance and border control, but also for fishery to track all the small artisanal fishing vessels.
