Clear increase in sales in the last fiscal year
DREHER Automation can draw positive conclusions from the 2017/2018 financial year as well. Nearly 34 million Euros in new orders were mainly placed in the markets of North America, Mexico, Germany, Eastern Europe, and China. By the end of the fiscal period, the total order volume had reached a historic high of 41.5 million Euros. Compared to the previous year, sales have increased by almost 20 percent, from 25.4 to 30.3 million Euros.
Overall, this puts the profitability at the same level as the general industry trend in mechanical and plant engineering. The result for the equity ratio is also positive; at around 43% it is clearly above the sector average of 40%, despite extensive financial advances for the new building.
For the current period, DREHER Automation anticipates a further improvement in sales and profit. This success is based on consistent key account management, product portfolio, and know-how, as well as globalisation and operational excellence in all areas.
Growing employee base
Another important foundation for the success of the business is the qualification, commitment, and flexibility of the employees in combination with a constructive cooperation between the works council and management.
At the end of the period the number of employees was 188, which is an increase of five employees compared to the previous year. To ensure the required employee base, Automatic-Systeme Dreher GmbH is providing extensive training. Additionally, great emphasis is placed on education and further training.
New building work on schedule
DREHER Automation is also on schedule for both time and cost plans for the topic of building expansion. Work on the new building in InPark A81 can continue despite snow. Weather permitting, the building envelopes for the production and assembly halls can be completed by the end of April and for the administrative building by the end of June. The current status can be checked through the webcam at www.dreher.de. The move is scheduled for 2019.
Events planned for 2019
DREHER Automation is also planning several events for 2019. For example, from the 22nd to the 24th May the Automation Days, focusing on “Current Challenges in the Press Shop” will take place in . Interested parties can already register for this event now.
The will take place one day later, on the 25th May. Here, interested students will have the opportunity to experience the industrial company first-hand.
