The 8th Software Asset Management Strategies (SAMS) Annual Congress took place in Berlin from 24th to 26th February 2019. More than 400 SAM and IT procurement specialists were on site to exchange information about challenges and solutions as well as technologies, trends and best practice innovations in software asset management.

Raynet, Europe’s leading and innovative service and solution provider in the field of Application Lifecycle Management, was present as Business Partner and presented its complete software and service portfolio.

The focus was on the intelligent inventory solution RayVentory. At the Summit, visitors were able to get a first live impression of the new version 11.1 of the portable application. RayVentory convinced not only by its unbeatable user-friendliness, but also by its innovative and powerful functions, which enable the central as well as decentral scanning of IT landscapes.

Andreas Gieseke, Director SAM Products & Services at Raynet, explained the complexity of RayVentory in an interview with we.CONECT. With the various inventory methods, it is also possible to take an inventory of all Oracle Java applications so that compliance and optimization measures can then be derived from the results. From service providers, tool providers and license consultants to enterprise customers, many companies use the inventory solution.

At the SAMS Awards, Raynet’s customer, Rhenus Logistics, received an award in the “Overall SAM Project” category for outstanding achievements in the enterprise-wide implementation of software asset & license management. In addition, they received the jury’s “Special Mention” award. Rhenus realized its SAM project with the support of Raynet and its product solution RayVentory. At the award ceremony, Rhenus reported on the exciting and positive experiences made in this project and praised Raynet for their product solution and the given commitment.
