interzum 2019, the world’s leading trade fair for furniture production and interior design, came to an end on Friday, May 24, and recorded a sharp rise in the number of international trade visitors. For four days, the SWISS KRONO Group presented concentrated innovation at its 400+ square-meter booth. As a delighted Martin Brettenthaler, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of the SWISS KRONO Group, summarizes: “We clearly saw an increase in visitor numbers at our stand. As interzum is one of the most important trade fairs for our Group, we are extremely satisfied with the response and can regard our participation in 2019 as successful.”

With this year’s stand, SWISS KRONO Group picked up on four themes that united global megatrends and the SWISS KRONO product world. The new ONE WORLD Global Collection, which includes 31 new plain, wood and design décors, was presented in the “Individualization” theme world. These décors are used throughout the entire décor network, i.e. for melamine-coated furniture panels, HPL products – which are also continuously produced – and matching edges. “With this wide variety of décors, we want to inspire people to create individual living spaces and develop new design ideas,” says Paul Mullings, Director of Flooring & Interiors at SWISS KRONO Group. The new ONE VISION surface structure is a modern, universal wood structure that provides a natural look and feel for all new décors. More about the ONE WORLD Collection and the four current furnishing trends Warm Vintage, Urban Minimal, True Bohemian and Japanordic.

The “Connectivity” theme world blurred the boundaries between reality and virtual reality. With the new app ONE WORLD AR Interior Designer, décors can be virtually projected onto real surfaces. “All décors are elaborately scanned in several dimensions and enriched with all information to ensure BIM use,” explains Fabian Kölliker, Head of Group Marketing at the SWISS KRONO Group. The “Health” theme world contained a world first as the BE.YOND furniture panel was presented there. As the world’s first panel, the product is manufactured using the Eco-Synthetix binder system on DuraBind™ Biobasis and meets the highest requirements for indoor air quality, so that the emission level corresponds to that of trees (0.01 ppm). As Martin Brettenthaler proudly announces: “This product sets new standards within the industry, as the BE.YOND furniture board meets the highest quality and environmental standards for wood-based materials.” More about BE.YOND.

The first highlight took place the evening before the fair: at the interzum award ceremony, SWISS KRONO received the “High Product Quality” award for its modular “Agile Cell” office furniture made of SWISSCDF. Press text and pictures of the award.
