mediCAD® Web, the new cloud-based application for digital preoperative planning by mediCAD Hectec GmbH, is now available as an integrated partner application through teamplay, the Siemens Healthineers’ cloud platform for healthcare providers.

With the integration of mediCAD® Web into teamplay and the focus on joint technological development (as well as marketing and sales activities) in the field of digitization and process simplification for orthopedics and radiology further enhances the existing partnership between Siemens Healthineers and mediCAD Hectec.

mediCAD® is one of the world’s most recognized digital preoperative planning software, providing a high degree of surgical planning security and quality assurance. The software impresses with its simple measuring procedures, modular design with powerful supplementary modules, safe OR preparation through individual implant determination, the world’s largest implant database and revision-proof documentation of all processes.

By integrating mediCAD® Web as an application in Siemens Healthineers‘ teamplay, radiologists and surgeons can now seamlessly and directly access the preoperative planning tools without having to set up additional access to the software – optionally through tablets, laptops or desktop PCs. For this, the clinic or the doctor only need a teamplay receiver, which ensures a secure transmission of DICOM data. "We are convinced that with teamplay and the integration of mediCAD® Web, we have taken another step towards clinical digitization worldwide. With teamplay, a communication platform for clinics was created with focus on the efficiency of workflows and making work easier for doctors in their daily clinical routine. Combined with simple, digital workflows, teamplay creates real added value for all users. As a medium-sized company, we are pleased to be able to work together with Siemens Healthineers on digitizing the healthcare system and expanding the portfolio of teamplay with our digital cloud-based planning software mediCAD® Web", says Maria Wurm, product manager mediCAD® Web at mediCAD Hectec GmbH.

In addition to the integration in teamplay, mediCAD® Web is also avilable as a stand-alone product through mediCAD Hectec GmbH directly.

Über die mediCAD Hectec GmbH

mediCAD Hectec GmbH has been developing software solutions for orthopedic surgeons since 1994. Our goal is to, in all aspects, digitally enable efficient and secure planning for joint operations – in clinics as well as in practices.
In 1999, mediCAD HECTEC GmbH was the first company worldwide to develop a software program that allows the user to create complete and professional pre-operative planning for a joint replacement in a digital environment with just a few keystrokes/clicks.

With the mediCAD® and mediCAD® Web, the company has set innovative milestones worldwide in supporting surgical orthopedics. By automatically archiving all the necessary information and ensuring consistent traceability of the findings, pre-operative preparation and follow-up care, mediCAD® offers the ideal opportunity for your optimally prepared, professionally managed and audit-compliant, documented operation, with the correspondingly recorded follow-up care.

Thanks to its close cooperation with leading companies in the medical technology field and the successful use of mediCAD® in more than 3,500 hospitals worldwide, mediCAD HECTEC GmbH, with around 50 employees, is already a global player in the field of medical software solutions.
