Each SRO™ is equipped with automatic and manual brightness control. The shooter can dial-in the favorite brightness setting with the new “Lock-Out” function, and keep the sight illuminated for an indefinite amount of time by using the new “Lock-in” function. This feature is not only ideal for fast-paced competitive events in bright daylight, but also for long hunts in changing lighting conditions. Additionally, the brightness can be manually adjusted in 8 different levels.
Despite the large sight window, the SRO™ is nearly free of discoloration or other optical distortions. For this reason, the SRO™ is also a great choice for static shooting disciplines, as the crisp dot in combination with the large field of view enables a relaxed and focused aim. The SRO™ is offered in three different sight configurations that cover all the needs of shooting disciplines. The 1 MOA dot is perfect for for maximum precision, long-range, and bullseye shooting. The 2.5 MOA dot is a great multi-purpose choice and excellent for target shooting. For lightning fast target acquisition at close range in dynamic shooting disciplines, the 5 MOA dot is the most suitable option.
The battery of the new SRO™ can be changed from the top without the need of having the entire optic removed from the gun. This makes battery changes a breeze and the re-sighting process obsolete. Thank you Trijicon! The battery is a standard CR 2032, but with a battery life of more than 3 years on a constant brightness setting of 4 out of 8, changes will not be necessary too often.
As can be expected from Trijicon, the overall quality of the SRO™ is top notch. The rubberized housing made from forged aluminum and the hardened glass lens guarantees longevity even under harshest conditions.
