International PHP Conference – Workshop highlights

This year’s fall edition will take place in Munich, October 21 – 25. The main conference days offer inspiring sessions & keynotes, held by more than 60 international speakers from business, industry, and science. With more than 90 sessions, keynotes and workshops, the attendees can develop and sharpen their skills with an invaluable insight into the expert’s knowledge.

Two full workshop days offer the conference topics practical experiences, in which both the existing expertise is used, and new knowledge is mediated and directly applied. In one of our workshops called "Pragmatic Event Sourcing Workshop" by Arne Blankerts, participants will learn how to build a solid, event-sourced web application from scratch without relying on frameworks and libraries.

In the "Test-driven Development Workshop"—another workshop of the International PHP Conference—Sebastian Bergmann and Stefan Priebsch show the advantages of Test-Driven Development (TDD). After the workshop, the participants not only will understand how TDD is fundamentally changing one’s view of software to this day but also experience the joy of the red-green-refactor cycle.
