With the development of the eIDAS Inspector, achelos GmbH provides an answer to the requirements of the European Regulation (EU) No. 910/2014 (eIDAS Regulation). The product is available for the European market and is aimed at trust centers, certification bodies and end users. The new test system from achelos serves to verify electronically signed digital certificates and seals, electronic signatures, time stamps and other electronically signed documents, e.g. XML files (XAdES), PDF files (PAdES) or data containers (ASiC). The product innovation will be demonstrated for the first time at the IT security trade fair it-sa from 8 to 10 October 2019 in Nuremberg.

The test system is used as a supporting testing tool in certification processes, for process-accompanying output control (e.g. in trust centers) or for verifying digital authorisation documents at the end user. The eIDAS Inspector strengthens communication security and the quality of data output through specification-compliant, secure identities and protects against business-critical reputation losses.

Complete test coverage comfortably solved

With the eIDAS Inspector, all inspection and quality assurance tasks can be solved fully automatically. The innovative test system validates on the basis of predefined specification requirements and returns a machine-readable test result via a REST interface.

"Trust centers benefit from a recursive quality assurance process and significantly save time identifying erroneous data," said Kathrin Asmuth, managing partner of achelos. "The eIDAS Inspector has a modular architecture and can be easily extended, so our customers are investing safely in the future. The test system supports established specifications for electronic signatures such as RFC 5280, CA/Browser Forum, eIDAS and PSD2," says Asmuth, further explaining the advantages of the eIDAS Inspector.

In addition to the eIDAS Inspector, achelos will present its comprehensive expertise for development, testing and certification for the European eIDAS Regulation. Visitors will find achelos at the booth of the top team in the Security League from October 8th to 10th, 2019 at it-sa in Nuremberg in hall 10, booth 311 and from now on online at www.security-liga.de.
