Konrad Technologies (KT) today announced it will demonstrate new test solutions and test methods for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) functionality at the Automotive Testing Expo in the United States.

The Automotive Testing Expo (ATE) Novi is North America’s largest automotive, testing, development engineering and validation exposition. Automotive Testing Expo, North America’s leading, super-scale exhibition exclusively dedicated to showcasing the latest test, development, validation and calibration technologies for OEMs and Tier 1s, runs for three days in Novi, Michigan and will host more than 360 exhibitors from October 22-24th, 2019.

Diane Tibbs Managing Director of Konrad Technologies US, said:

“The Automotive Testing Expo is undoubtedly our top automotive testing event of the year held only ten minutes from our US headquarters in Farmington Hills. We directly connect with leaders in the automotive industry and all benefit from the knowledge exchange. It is the perfect venue to launch several new test technologies for ADAS/AD testing and we are looking forward to an especially successful ATE this year with our booth partners VI-grade and National Instruments.”

Konrad Technologies to highlight In-Vehicle Data Record and Replay Platform and Driver in the Loop with Sensor Fusion at ATE Novi 2019.

In-Vehicle Data Record and Replay Platform

The KT In-Vehicle Data Record and Replay Platform offers users an efficient, customizable and reliable technique to record and replay sensor and network data streams for ADAS/AD validation testing. The platform is compact, portable and based on an industry-standard reconfigurable and modular PXI architecture to support different sensor configurations and changing needs over time.

Driver in the Loop with Sensor Fusion

Konrad Technologies and VI-grade jointly present Driver in the Loop with Sensor Fusion as a test method for ADAS and Autonomous Driving functions. In this demonstration, the VI-grade Compact Driving Simulator (CDS) sends object data streams to the KT Vehicle Radar Test System (KT-VRTS) that stimulate real-live sensors in real-time according to the drive simulation scenario. The sensor output can then be analyzed in an open loop or sent back to the VI-grade simulation for close loop analysis. This approach can be used for sensor, sub-systems and system level testing of ADAS and AD modules in the lab together with driver perception and reaction time as input parameters.
