Carl Silbersky, until today Senior Vice President of Corporate Development in the company, has been appointed as CEO of BIMobject with immediate effect. Kim Mortensen will leave the company for personal reasons.

Carl is a Swedish citizen, who holds a BA degree in Finance and Capital Markets from University of Brighton. He joined BIMobject in November 2018 as SVP of Corporate Development. After starting his career with 5 years in KPMG’s consulting and transactional services, Carl became a successful serial entrepreneur and business leader. He has developed and run several tech companies. For example, as CEO of Polar Rose, a Swedish facial recognition tech company, Carl was the driving force behind both the fast growth and the divestment of the company which was acquired by Apple. Some of the other companies Carl has been involved in includes SafeSolutions, SettleBox and Tactel.

“As Kim and the board have agreed that he will not stay with BIMobject, we are delighted to appoint Carl as CEO of the company. From the day Carl joined the BIMobject team, he has contributed significantly to the management of the company and we are convinced Carl as CEO will accelerate the development of BIMobject. BIMobject is today the world-leading BIM content cloud-platform for the construction industry, and it has great opportunities for further technological and commercial success.”, says Anders Wilhjelm, Chairman of the Board.

“One year ago, I was drawn to BIMobject ́s vision and the enormous opportunity to take part in something that has a real impact on the environment, while at the same time has the potential to transform the construction industry. I am really excited about taking on the full responsibility for BIMobject. This is a fantastic company with huge potential, but at the same time also with lot of interesting challenges to tackle”, says Carl Silbersky, CEO of BIMobject.
