The International PHP Conference took place in Munich between October 21 and 25 concomitantly with the International JavaScript Conference. Five exciting conference days of the International PHP Conference are behind us and we want to give a brief review of these conference days.

The conference opened its doors on October 21 with two workshops by Stefan Priebsch, Sebastian Bergmann and Damien Seguy about writing good code with automated tests and improving the code quality by daily reviews. The main conference debuted on October 22, where over 60 speakers shared their knowledge spread among eight different tracks: PHP Development, Web Development, JavaScript Development, Architecture, Web Security, DevOps, Agile & Culture, and Testing & Quality. The expo took place on October 22 to 23, where innovative companies presented their services and technologies to an audience of over 600 people.

Another noteworthy activity was the evening event at the end of the first expo day, where attendees and speakers had the opportunity to chat and establish new business contacts whilst gambling at the poker or roulette table.

The last day of the conference (October 25) offered two workshops where participants got the chance to gain insight into Pragmatic Event Sourcing and PHPStan by Arne Blankerts and Ondřej Mirtes.

The next International PHP Conference will take place from May 25 to 29, 2020 in the Maritim ProArte Hotel in Berlin concomitantly with the webinale – the holistic web conference. Those who are interested can already buy tickets and benefit from early bird prices: Until February 6, buyers of 3-Day Passes will receive a Workshop Day for free and will be able to save up to € 700 in total.

The International PHP Conference is the world’s first PHP conference and, for the past 10+ years, has been the epitome of top-notch pragmatic expertise in PHP and web technologies. It is also a place where developers can get together with other professionals from the industry and discuss the latest trends.
