•  More than 1,000 decision makers, more than 2,000 networking meetings and 50 pitches are expected at the 4th European Chemistry Partnering in Frankfurt
  •  Early bird discount offered until 15 December 2019
  •  Networking starts at the Get-Together on the evening before

At the 4th European Chemistry Partnering (ECP), more than 1,000 participants from the chemical industry and its user industries will meet to discuss future projects and potential collaborations. Over the last three years, this unique meeting of leading heads of the industry has transitioned into an event that shapes the development of strategies and perspectives of entire industry branches. To boost this dynamic, the range of workshops at the ECP has been extended. The workshop "Digitization of the coating industry", initiated by ORONTEC GmbH & Co. KG, is an excellent example of the creation of new perspectives live at the ECP.

ORONTEC (www.orontec.com) develops innovative solutions for the coating and paint industry in the areas of measurement technology, software and process consulting. As an expert for metrology and process consulting based in Dortmund, ORONTEC wants to promote digitization in this industry. The workshop will be organized as a "World Café" and aims to develop and link up new ideas. It brings together experts from ORONTEC, from BENS Consulting Ltd. based in Slovenia, from Analytrics GmbH (Stuttgart), Sustragil (Münster) and from the Dutch Electric Ants Lab.

Key Account Manager Dr. Ulf Stalmach from ORONTEC explains the idea behind the creative workshop: "The paint and coating industry is a very traditional and SME-based part of the chemical industry. Many players find it difficult to orientate in the jungle of digitization buzzwords and to link it to their own industry. The workshop is designed to focus on industry-related issues and to develop solutions. There is no better place to do that than at the ECP 2020."

Dr. Holger Bengs, CEO of BCNP Consultants GmbH and Initiator of the European Chemistry Partnering says: "Workshops like this one show the potential of the ECP, not just as an industrial speed dating platform but also as a creative and innovative accelerator for the circular industry and in line with the 17 sustainable development goals of the U.N. It is another encouraging proof of the innovativeness and the will to collaborate within our industry."

Background:

97 percent of all products contain at least one chemical process step: renewable raw materials, enzymes, industrial biotechnology, new processes, products from residual materials, digitization, etc. are changing the processes in chemical value creation: starting with purchasing logistics on to production and finally marketing and sales. Interdisciplinary exchange is gaining in importance. With the ECP, an international chemistry community is growing that wants to derive more innovation from what already exists.

European Chemistry Partnering: A brief overview

The European Chemistry Partnering is an event format in which the focus is on discussion about innovation along the chemical value chain. It is aimed at decision makers, innovation managers and investors in the chemical industry and its user industries, as well as industry-focused stakeholders and qualified service providers and consultants. The ECP consists of the elements: Keynote Speech, Partnering, Pitches, Exhibition, Workshops and Final Panel. Companies can describe their innovations in short presentations (Pitches) and arrange appointments via a software tool in advance (Partnering). The ECP always begins at the Get-Together on the evening before and it ends with a joint breakfast on the next day. Satellite events organized with partners emphasize its importance as both marketplace and meeting point for decision makers. The European Chemistry Partnering was conceived and initiated by Dr Holger Bengs, CEO of BCNP Consultants GmbH. The first event took place in 2017 and has been now organized twice a year since 2018.
