The official support for Windows 7 will end on January 14, 2020. From then on, a safe use of the operating system is no longer guaranteed, since missing updates may cause serious security gaps. This does not only entail a considerable additional effort for the IT Department, but also an increased risk for all data. Microsoft therefore recommends switching to Windows 10 before the support expires.

Many companies today already use Windows 10. The global market share of the operating system was 52.38 % in October 2019. However, 26.94 % of users still use Windows 7 (Source: statista.com*). The advantages of a planned and structured migration to Windows 10 are numerous: The maintenance and administration of the operating system is much easier than before. IT administrators are significantly relieved by this. Windows 10 also focuses more strongly on security aspects. In addition, new systems from brand manufacturers will only be delivered including Windows 10.

Raynet, Europe’s leading provider of services and products for Application Lifecycle Management, supports companies in migrating fully and smoothly to Windows 10 and in achieving this in a time-efficient and cost-optimized manner.

With the 7-step method Dirroci, Raynet focuses not only on software portfolio analysis and the associated cleanup, but also on testing all software used in the company for compatibility with Windows 10. This is where processes are optimized, resources are saved, and operating costs are reduced.

With more than 20 years of experience, Raynet has extensive know-how and many companies have already benefited from this. "Together with Raynet, we have managed to reduce our software portfolio by 70% in a very short time without losses and thus, we did not only achieve enormous cost savings, but also a solid basis for the migration to Windows 10 and for a future-proof management of our software," said a medium-sized company in the automotive industry.
