Manufacturing companies are working on a European data infrastructure in which they shall have full control over their data and in which real-time processing and artificial intelligence (AI) for the digital transformation and networking of industry are possible. Gaia-X is the name of the project, and it  calls for new solutions. The Friedhelm Loh Group is playing a leading role in it and showcased a turnkey application for Gaia-X at the start of October. The state of São Paulo is home to the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory – one of the largest scientific projects in the country. One of the many goals of the research work conducted in the laboratory’s particle accelerator is to study the human brain to learn more about Parkinson’s disease which currently affects around six million people worldwide. Our “be top” reporters visited the site and showed insights into the groundbreaking research project that is investigating healing methods for previously incurable neurodegenerative diseases.
