Progressing digitization demands a higher and higher reliability of IT infrastructure. Regardless of whether storing data on cloud or connecting data for autonomous driving – it simply has to perform. Even for manufacturing, IT services are mission critical. Production downtimes due to configuration issues, software and hardware failures mean competitive disadvantages and often result in an enormous loss for the stakeholders.

KnowledgeRiver GmbH offers consulting services based on self-developed software solutions. Focused on simplicity its portfolio supports enterprises with increasing reliability, stability and performance of their IT services. Avoiding failures and downtimes in advance ensures business continuity and helps reducing the operational costs of heterogenous IT landscapes.

The core of KnowledgeRiver’s services is Predictive Analytics. This complex software processes an incredibly big amount of data to prevent incidents proactively. And just as IT landscapes evolve, so too must the software. That’s why KnowledgeRiver is particularly proud to inspire young talents like newcomer Hiba Al-Najmi.

Coffee, code and soccer

Born in Jordan, she develops software with passion: “Since I wrote code for the first time, I’ve been fascinated by programming! It is amazing how much we can learn about logic, problem solving and the functioning of our human mind through programming."

Hiba has been in Germany since 2016 and she’s studying computer science at the Technical University of Darmstadt. She has had a special relationship with Germany for many years: her father was involved in many projects in that country, renowned for great inventions. In addition to various programming languages, she also learns new natural languages quickly. Apart from her native tongue Arabic, the coffee lover fluently speaks German, English and Spanish.

She is currently all the more impressed by databases. She doesn’t mind debugging for hours to find – and resolve! – bugs. To compensate, the power woman likes to play soccer or enjoys listening to audio books.

She is currently working in a team to further develop KnowledgeRiver’s IT services management system – DC360Manatee.

This software manages the data collection from IT infrastructures, processes and – according to purpose – analyzes the data. DC360Manatee furthermore visualizes the results and creates reports. "We are very happy to have found such an independent and committed developer in Hiba," says KnowledgeRiver Managing Director Sven Bittlingmayer. "Her ideas, and the fresh way she approaches things, are a great asset to our company and our services."
