The BMW M4 LCI Competition is the most powerful variant of the BMW 4 series. SIEMONEIT Racing enhances the 450 bhp twin-turbo in-line six-cylinder to achieve either 510, 560 or 660 bhp, all with TÜV approval. In its maximum expansion level, the rear wheel drive street sports car accelerates to 100 kilometres per hour in just 3.7 seconds. Our own 20-inch “FALCON” forged wheels combined with KW suspension coil springs also optimise the handling and appearance of the sports coupé.

SIEMONEIT Racing, the brand-independent tuning company from Stade near Hamburg, has long been more than just an insider tip for North German sports car drivers. Customers from all over the world trust the team surrounding company boss Stefan Siemoneit when it comes to their request for individual performance tuning. And it is no wonder, because the specialist has been preparing high-performance engines for use in motorsport as well as for the road since 2001.

Three stages to happiness

This profound know-how has also flowed into the development of the three expansion levels for the BMW M4 LCI Competition (model F82/F83). In the most powerful variant called “STAGE 3”, the engine experts skilfully replace series components with in-house developments: The conversion includes the SR 700 upgrade charger, downpipes with 200 Cpl sports catalysts, an air intake system, the charge pipe kit and a flap-controlled sports exhaust system. After the final electronic STAGE 3 fine-tuning and the optimisation of the dual clutch transmission control, both engine performance and propulsion improve dramatically: Now with 660bhp / 486kW and 680Nm, the launch control accelerates the sports car in a powerful 3.7 seconds (series: 4.2 sec.) to 100 km/h. And the top speed of 315 km/h also benefits significantly from the tuning measures – the series model bows out already at 280 km/h due to air resistance.

If the power upgrade to 660 hp is too much for you, SIEMONEIT offers two other performance enhancements: “Stage 1” achieves 510 HP by means of software optimisation and “Stage 2” achieves a full 560 bhp by means of the fitting of EEC downpipes and software that is individually adapted on the test bench

New software enables quick gear changes

In addition to the powerful increases in performance, the three new electronic control variants of the dual clutch transmission are responsible for the increased performance. The most extensive of the three reprogramming versions shortens the gear change times by up to 50 percent and makes the response of the accelerator pedal significantly more agile. A “real” manual mode now also prevents automatic upshifts in M mode. In addition to many other features, the gear change strategy for driving uphill and downhill has also been optimised.

Designer wheels complete the look

While the body remains almost unchanged, SIEMONEIT Racing gives the M4 an individual look with the tailor-made “FALCON” 20-inch forged wheels. The modern design with the fifteen slender spokes enables excellent stability with reduced weight. As an optimum wheel-tyre combination, wheels measuring 9.5 x 20 with tyres measuring 265/30 ZR 20 are installed on the front axle. On the rear drive axle, 11 x 20 wheels with 285/30 ZR 20 tyres ensure the best grip. SIEMONEIT Racing recommends Michelin Pilot Sport 4S high-performance tyres. In addition to the wider tyres, the KW suspension sport springs ensure additional agility in handling through a lower vehicle centre of gravity.
