In order to ensure production and supplies, MBCC Group is increasing prices for all Master Builders Solutions® products in Europe by 5 – 17% on average with immediate effect. The reasons for this increase are a drastic global shortage as well as strong price increases for key raw materials as well as important basic products and intermediates for the chemical and construction chemicals industry. Both is caused by an economic restart post Covid-19 as well as numerous outages in the raw material producing industry globally.

In addition, the global logistics and supply chains undergo a shortage in sea containers and pallets as well as a bottleneck in transport capacities, especially from Asian markets to Europe. This results in strong increases in freight and transportation costs.

“Our strategy is to continue to be a reliable partner to our customers. This also entails being predictable with regard to price increases, which usually will follow a regular review based on the long-term cost trend of our input factors. However, given the extreme situation we are experiencing in 2021, we are in an exceptional circumstance where additional price increases are required,” explained Dr. Christian Geierhaas, President Europe at MBCC Group.
