Innodisk is expanding its product range of flash and storage solutions with industrial-grade 112-layer 3D TLC SSDs with a storage capacity of up to 8 TB. The complete product line includes the 3TG6-P and 3TE7 SATA series and the Gen3x4 and Gen4x4 PCIe series.

The new TLC SSD series is an evolution of the 3D NAND design with faster performance and higher capacity. Compared to the previous 96-layer technology, which offered a maximum of 2 TB of storage, the new 112-layer PCIe Gen 4×4 series increases capacity to 8 TB for U.2 SSD and to 4 TB for M.2 (P80). The 112-layer series features higher speed compared to the 96-layer series. The PCIe Gen 4×4 series achieves speeds of up to 7500/6700 MB/s (8CH) and 3800/3000 MB/s (4CH). Reliability has been further improved in the 112-layer 3D TLC SSD series. Therefore, a dual-track approach with ECC correction by LDPC within a page and RAID between blocks provides double protection for more data security. Consistent and stable linear performance is implemented through a direct write mode that reduces performance degradation and WAF. Innodisk’s 112-layer series also features better endurance and data security with built-in iDataGuard and iPowerGuard, which improves compatibility and protection in critical power environments and ensures data integrity in the event of a sudden power failure.

The 3D TLC SSDs are suitable for AIoT and 5G applications, edge computing, deep learning, smart surveillance and smart medical.

Innodisk expects mass production of the 112-layer 3D TLC series to ship to customers worldwide in Q3 2021.
