“We are looking forward to welcoming the new exhibitors to TrendSet Winter 2022! More and more new and interesting exhibitors in the “kids” sector are participating in TrendSet, which enlarges the assortment of products at the fair. The industry is meeting up at TrendSet in Munich once again,” explained Tatjana Pannier, managing director of TrendSet.

Trends for Spring/Summer 2022

In Spring/Summer 2022, fashions, interiors, and accessories are an expression of a new way of thinking, living, and acting. Perception is sharpened through near-natural textures, contrasting colour combinations, and diverse shapes and patterns. Bio-friendly design and natural materials made from renewable raw materials reflect the trend towards more sustainability. Traditional craftsmanship is combined with new production methods. Creation and materials appeal to the senses. Depending on form, function, and colour, the designs have a relaxing or vitalising effect. The key colours of Spring/Summer 2022 follow these standards as well. Matte olive green and earthy brown are the sign of the newly discovered naturalness. Deep sea blue and muted turquoise convey a feeling of calm and balance. Soft butter yellow and lively dark pink bring joy and fun.

The central motif and the trend motifs of TrendSet Winter 2022 are the signposts for the new trends. The TrendSet central motif summarises the trends visually and in terms of content. It is formed from the three main trends of the season, which are expressed in the TrendSet trend motifs. HIGH PERCEPTION combines different worlds to create new ideas. Modern and digitally inspired designs generate both tactile and visual experiences with natural materials. DEEP SENSE shows synergies of aesthetics, sense, and sustainability of the designs. Traditional craftsmanship, renewable raw materials, and handmade processes are what characterise production. RAISING DELIGHT creates energising designs with pop colours, a colourful mix of styles, and lively details, borrowing from the iridescent botany of the tropics and casual festival looks of summer. The motifs give the trade a preview of the trends for Spring/Summer 2022, pointing the way to the coming product worlds.
