The "PS Pro" Concert Piano and the "Transducer" Grand Piano, both creations of traditional manufacturer Steingraeber, have been awarded the latest hallmark of quality in the category "Electronics & Technology" by the Süddeutsche Zeitung Institute.

Piano manufacturer Steingraeber has been winning over musicians from all around the world for many years. However since mid-March, readers of the Süddeutsche Zeitung as well as the Süddeutsche Zeitung Institute’s very own panel of experts, along with market research company Statista, can also be counted among the enthusiasts of this venerable brand. In a two-stage evaluation process, they voted the "PS Pro-adSilent" Concert Piano and the "Transducer" Grand Piano “Germany’s favourite”. The personal experience of Steingraeber customers confirmed by the evaluation of an expert panel thus ensures the highest measure of credibility for the company, both today and in the future.

The "Süddeutsche Zeitung" is Germany’s second biggest daily newspaper, and has the largest circulation of any of the renowned and respected national publications on politics, business and culture. Steingraeber, being one of the smallest manufacturers among the premium brands in the piano industry, was therefore pleasantly surprised to receive special recognition from not just experts in the industry, but from such a large readership.

Particular mention was made of Steingraeber’s use of "innovative electronics" which "…. combine above-average quality with outstanding design …"

"We are delighted that our instruments were chosen as Germany’s favourite," said junior directors Fanny and Alban Schmidt-Steingraeber, this new award demonstrating, in their opinion, that when it comes to following the sprit of innovation, continuity also plays an important role. "Our ancestor Eduard Steingraeber packed everything that was modern in his time into a ‚hybrid grand piano‘ all the way back in 1852 when he founded the company. We have learned so much from him about how to enrich tradition with ever-new ideas."
