Blackstone Resources AG (SWX; symbol BLS, ISIN CH0460027110) is pleased to announce that its 100% subsidiary Blackstone Technology has won the Green Product Award 2022. Blackstone’s proprietary 3D printing, a high-speed multilayer technology, for the production of environmentally friendly and high-performance lithium-ion batteries beat out 1,500 competitors from 54 countries in the categories of environmental protection, innovation and design.

Back in February, Blackstone was able to wow the public with its application at the prestigious award and win an audience award in advance. Now, the 26 Green Product Award jurors have echoed the public’s opinion. "We are delighted that the dedication of our engineers and our intensive development work have won the jury’s recognition," says CEO and founder of Blackstone Resources AG, Ulrich Ernst. "This reconfirms both the contribution of our battery technologies to a sustainable transport transition and their technical edge. Green batteries are the future, and Blackstone can deliver them today."

Since 2013, the Green Product Award has honored products and services that stand out in terms of sustainability, innovation, and design and have the potential to positively change the market. "It is precisely from these points of view that our battery technology delivers convincing arguments," says Ulrich Ernst. "We achieve a significantly higher energy density of +20%, which also promises more range in electromobility. In addition, we produce a precise fit for every design and sustainably reduce energy and material costs."

Blackstone relies on a water-based manufacturing process that requires fewer critical raw materials and chemicals. Toxic solvents are dispensed with completely. The manufacturing costs are also significantly reduced with the 3D printing process developed by Blackstone. These arguments also convinced the initiators of the Green Product Award. The entry we submitted shows "how a mix of sustainability, design and innovation can reconcile a good lifestyle with a more sustainable future," says Nils Bader, director of the Green Future Club and initiator of the Green Product Award.

At yesterday’s award ceremony at the ARRI cinema in Munich, CEO Ulrich Ernst and CMO & CBDO Serhat Yilmaz personally accepted the award for Blackstone in front of the press representatives who had traveled to the event.

"As excited as we are about this award, we will not rest on it," said Ulrich Ernst at the end of the event. "Our priority 3D printing technology is already suitable for the production of solid-state batteries, which will set new standards in terms of energy density, safety and service life. With reduced costs at the same time. We are currently working at full speed on this new technology and will soon begin pre-series production."

Über die Blackstone Resources AG

Blackstone Resources is a Swiss Holding Company, with its legal domicile in Baar, Kanton Zug, and is concentrating on the battery technology and battery-metals market and offers direct exposure to the battery-technology revolution.

Presently, Blackstone Technology builds up a production-line for small series of 3D printed batteries in Döbeln, Saxony, Germany. The short-term production will be pouch-cells with the Blackstone Thick Layer Technology © which allows a 20% higher density in lithium-ion cells, Blackstone Resources continues the program of development in solid state batteries and its production process.

Electric vehicles and batteries have driven the demand for large quantities of various metals. Therefore, Blackstone Resources explores, develops and trades battery-metals such as lithium, cobalt, manganese, graphite, nickel and copper.
