Bomar Specialties, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of (meth)acrylate oligomers and specialty additives for UV/EB curing, will be exhibiting at the European Coating Show in Nuremberg, Germany, March 28-30, 2023. In Hall 3A, Booth 109, you can learn about the latest developments of bio-based polyether urethane(meth-)acrylates, which are synthesized tin-free and with a high proportion (up to >80%) of renewable raw materials. Our experts on-site can show you how Bomar is helping manufacturers worldwide to develop oligomer products for 3D printing, UV-curing nail gels, light-curing adhesives, industrial UV/EB coatings and specialty applications.

With its biobased oligomers, Bomar is innovating to meet current market trends, producing technically superior products from renewable raw materials. Compared to their conventional petrochemical analogs, they have similarly outstanding mechanical and chemical properties while offering significantly reduced viscosities, which allows this product line with its unique properties – from highly flexible to rigid – to be used in a broader range of applications. Unlike common bio-based materials, Bomar BR-104xMB oligomers exhibit relatively low initial color, which makes them ideal for both transparent and pigmented applications. With their low MeHQ content, this range also meets the latest cosmetic guidelines for inhibitor concentration.

For the fast-growing 3D printing industry, Bomar also offers a selection of oligomers for high-quality printing materials that are suitable not only for rapid prototyping but also for the quick mass production of end products. For example, the new BR-5413MB was developed explicitly for 3D printing applications due to the constant demand for high strength at elevated application temperatures.

Various new developments from Bomar are also aimed at manufacturers of UV-curing nail gels. The oligomer range offers solutions for numerous specific requirements, such as good acetone removability, low heat generation during curing, or tack-free curing under low-energy LED lamps. For example, the amazingly high reactivity of the new BR-581MT provides a tack-free cure, eliminating the need for an additional residue removal process step in salons. Bomar oligomers for nail gels are of course INCI-registered.

Furthermore, Bomar oligomers are also ideally suited to formulate industrial coatings for plastic, wood, or glass.

Visit our booth and learn all about our dendritic thioether oligomers and their exceptional mechanical and physical properties as well as their outstanding adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including ABS, aluminum, glass, polycarbonate, PMMA and stainless steel.  For specialty applications like for example water-based UV coatings or anti-fog coatings, Bomar also offers the necessary oligomers such as the hydrophilic, trifunctional urethane acrylate XR-9416.

Our experts are on site to answer your questions about Bomar’s oligomers and matching curing systems, and to discuss your specific applications in detail. We will also be happy to introduce the corresponding equipment and demonstrate how to easily integrate it into your manufacturing process.
