Whether in the UK or Alaska, the topic of microreactors could stand for green energy supply.

By 2027, a microreactor will be in service at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. It will supply heat and electricity. The military is a not insignificant energy consumer. The U.S. has more than 400 sites, and here, too, CO-2 emissions and energy are to be saved. Energy from wind and sun is not enough, because in the military sector outages are to be avoided and security of supply is to be guaranteed. The issue of energy security is thus also important in this area. The Navy has so-called pressurized water reactors. Eielson Air Force Base is located in a barren area where it can sometimes be -60 degrees Celsius. But if the project is successful, it would be possible to use the fourth-generation reactors for industrial purposes.

In the UK, Rolls Royce is looking at building mini reactors. The "minis" score with advantages; they can supply remote areas and can be installed quickly. There is also a floating nuclear power plant, the Akademik Lomonosov. It took ten years to build. It was to supply heat and electricity, and it was to be located in the far east of Russia. The nuclear giant responsible for it, Rosatom, uses technology that already provides energy in nuclear-powered submarines and ships. Today, the floating power plant supplies the city of Pewek. The microreactors are still stationary.

So there is a kind of race to see who will be the first to have a mobile reactor. In any case, nuclear energy is an important building block in the energy mix and will be for a very long time. Therefore, uranium and uranium companies will not go out of fashion anytime soon. Among uranium companies, IsoEnergy and Consolidated Uranium are appealing.

IsoEnergyhttps://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/isoenergy-ltd/ – has three uranium projects in the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, in one of the best uranium areas. The summer exploration program is now underway.

Consolidated Uraniumhttps://www.commodity-tv.com/ondemand/companies/profil/consolidated-uranium-inc/ – is one of the companies ready to start in the short term. The projects are located in Canada, Australia, Argentina and the USA.
