Robust manual welding technology, collaborative robotics, scalable automation solutions and innovative data management: For processing companies, workshops and production facilities around the world, CLOOS combines the advantages of progress with the quality needed for the best results. At SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN from 11 to 15 September 2023 in Essen, visitors can experience the combination of technology, process and product live.

Close automation gaps

A highlight of the exhibition booth is the automated high-tech production line, in which automated welding technology is integrated with handling and grinding applications in one production line. By combining innovative welding technology with upstream and downstream production processes, users can close automation gaps and significantly increase the efficiency of their welding production.

The QIROX system includes the robot technology, positioners, safety technology, software, sensors and the interface to the process technology. The CLOOS portfolio comprises simple, compact standard systems as well as complex, chained systems with automated workpiece identification and loading and unloading processes. The modular design provides users with scalable solutions that are optimally adapted to different applications and individual production requirements – whether small, delicate workpieces or large, complex components.

CLOOS will also present the QINEO ArcBoT which offers an easy entry into automated welding technology, relieves employees and ensures consistent, reproducible welding quality. The high-tech MIG/MAG welding power source and the very precise Cobot complement each other perfectly.

Manual welding from entry to premium

During live-demonstrations of manual welding trade visitors can experience the constantly rising model range of the QINEO welding power sources from entry to premium. The QINEO StarT allows an easy start into the world of modern MIG/MAG welding technology. Due to the optimum price-performance ratio, users can weld any workpiece at economic conditions. The high-tech QINEO NexT MIG/MAG welding power source convinces by excellent arc characteristics for highest welding quality. The modular design allows many utilisation possibilities – from the basic welding machine for manual welding to the multiprocess welding machine for automated robot welding. In addition, the QINEO QuesT complements the portfolio for high-end TIG applications. This welding power source was specially developed for TIG welding processes and is particularly suitable for the most demanding welding connections and highest quality requirements. The QINEO welding power sources are characterised in particular by digital connectivity, maximum energy efficiency and the possibility of integrating new welding processes.

The right welding process for every requirement

Furthermore, CLOOS will show new and proven welding processes for maximum productivity and quality. No matter if thick or thin, steel or aluminium, manual or automated – the wide range offers the right welding process for every individual product requirement.

With the new Mix Weld process users can solve demanding welding tasks even with heat-sensitive materials. Vertical-up welds and horizontal-vertical positions can also be welded linearly with this process which significantly saves time in the process sequence.

MoTion Weld is particularly suitable for fine plate applications and applications in the lowest capacity ranges. The welding process provides advantages everywhere where special demands to weld surface and appearance are made.

With Tandem Weld, the high deposition rate can be converted into both welding speed and volume filling which offers advantages for thin and thick sheet thicknesses. Users benefit from shortened welding times and reduced rework, thanks to minimised component distortion, low heat input and good gap bridging ability.

Digitisation solutions for future production

The CLOOS software solutions increase the performance of welding power sources and robot systems in addition. With the C-Gate IoT platform, users can access information from their welding production in real time. The central data acquisition and processing allows users to monitor and control their production processes down to the smallest detail. C-Gate consists of several modules which users can activate depending on their individual digitalisation strategy – consistently from the manual welding power source to the fully automated production line.

Besides, the CLOOS RoboPlan software enables offline programming of automated robot welding systems. RoboPlan allows the generation of welding and travel paths as well as sensor routines at 3D models and their direct transfer into the robot controller. This increases the system utilisation, optimises the production process and makes welding more flexible.

At SCHWEISSEN & SCHNEIDEN, CLOOS will also present the new digitisation platform QNECT for the first time. In the future, all digital solutions from CLOOS will be integrated here so that users have all information available at a glance.
