Supply chain related problems are keeping the global economy on its toes – with still no end in sight. All the more reason for shippers to take the issues of transport monitoring and process reliability seriously. "The need for professional, digital solutions for shock and location monitoring is greater than ever in the industrial goods sector," says Martina Wöhr, Managing Director of ASPION GmbH. "In particular, there is a strong upward trend in demand for solutions for real-time monitoring of goods in transit." With the ASPION L-Track, ASPION is introducing a new real-time data logger as an end-to-end solution that ensures global transportation monitoring of valuable capital goods. For the first time, the specialists in data loggers for shock monitoring are expanding their product portfolio with a 360-degree live tracking system "Made and Hosted in Germany".

Flexible all-in-one solution for complete transparency

The new ASPION L-Track can be used flexibly and is particularly suitable for monitoring high-value and sensitive capital goods in global, multimodal transport. Shippers from the mechanical and plant engineering sector, energy technology and numerous other industries can track the current location and condition of their high-value assets in real time and are alerted in the event of unusual occurrences. With the end-to-end solution consisting of smart sensors and a connected IoT platform, supply chain processes can be optimized, damage can be averted through proactive intervention and unnecessary costs are avoided. The ASPION L-Track also meets high industrial requirements when it comes to monitoring load carriers, rotating container management and other applications in the area of intralogistics.

Sophisticated sensor technology with GPS tracking – live and worldwide

Like all ASPION data loggers, the new ASPION L-Track offers detailed and meaningful shock detection in milliseconds, providing conclusive evidence in the event of damage caused by improper handling. Global tracking in over 140 countries is carried out cellularly via mobile radio or accurate to the meter via GPS. Additional sensor values such as temperature, humidity, tilt and light are visualized in the easy-to-use ASPION Cloud. "Based on the data logged with location and time stamp, it is possible to transparently trace where and how damage occurred," says Wöhr. The robust housing, about the size of a spectacle case, is suitable for prolonged use in harsh weather conditions. The energy-optimized mode of operation and replaceable standard batteries ensure sustainable and resource-saving long-term operation.

Presentation at LogiMAT and cost-effective entry

Trade fair visitors can experience and order the ASPION L-Track live at LogiMAT (19 – 21.03.24, Stuttgart, Hall 8 Stand B11). The complete solution will be available from April 2024 at attractive entry-level conditions.
